2025/26 David Moyes

Well neither did anyone who replaced him either so what does that say about us?

He is a loser.

He is in our history books for most losses in the league cup, most losses in Europe and most losses in FA Cup without winning it.

Not his fault that he has to bring a knife to a gun fight.

Our fans are a disgrace

They were worried about what fans would think with Dyche.

Unfortunately (to me at least), there's no way they get rid of him.
Considering he wasn’t the man they wanted and they have got rid of managers at Roma for finishing 5th and 6th. If he finishes where we’re now or Lower I think he will be in trouble, purely because he’s neglected most of the new signings.

Once he decided to start McNeil every game, a player who was minutes away from leaving and has hardly given 1 minute to a 35mil singing since and a handful minutes for another young exciting winger from Chelsea, then he has to get Europe full stop. You can’t play McNeil and the likes of gana every minute at 36/37 or a 6ft 5 CB at RB then you can’t finish 12th

Are you a disgrace or do you get an exemption?

It depends how things go, but if we don't qualify for Europe at all, and Palace win their second trophy in two seasons whilst finishing in a similar position to us, then I would be up for replacing Moyes with Glasner.

He talked more about Soucek than anything else after the game.

Saying how you need physical players in the premier league and he tries to get the balance right with that and smaller technical players.

How Soucek is very important etc etc

All about his former player of course who he signed.
Embarrassing but no shock. West Ham have probably finshed more times in the bottom half of the league since he’s been there I’f soucek was any good he would have go to a bigger club 3/4 yrs ago

Depends what TFGs expectation/objective is with Everton.

Based on my read of them, Id be very surprised if they make a proactive change.

I agree to a point.

But to counter that you’ve only got to look at some of the players Brighton, Brentford & Bournemouth have signed for low ish fees to know they are out there.

Not every player has to cost 30/40/50 million to be good.

Those 3 clubs have proven that time & time again.
I agree but it depends on where the owners want us to get to. If we keep spending moderate amounts, we could qualify for Europe and maybe have the odd good cup run but if the owners want us to get to the very top, it’s going to take years of consistently big investment.

Roma are years ahead of us though, the Friedkins bought them 6 years ago and they were already at a higher level than us when they bought them.

We have 30+ years without a trophy, hoping a man responsible for over a third of that who hasn't ever won a domestic trophy (ok, charity shield with a team that just pissed the league) stifles some hope

But we also have manager who has turned us from something like 16th place to being into contention for Europe next year.

Roll the dice by all means. Hopefully the new guy will get us into the top 6, but I can almost guarantee that this time next year there will be a huge thread discussing getting rid of the manager who replaced Moyes because he 'failed'. Why do I think that? Because that's the way it's gone for 30 years without Moyes.

Hid contract is up.
I just cant figure out why anyone would opt to give him a new one over someone else.
There's all this talk about stability and building for the future but he wont look sideways at anyone who's not his fave.
It's clear McNeil isn't part of the future but he gets played while new signings dont get a sniff.
Also, despite having talented players, it's just boring.
