2025/26 David Moyes

Mid table mediocrity was something many on here had hoped for during our desperate relegation battles of the past. Understandable.
Now that we are there we need to push on to the next level. That will not happen with this set up.
The future is clearly in the hands of the owners. This summer will be a test of their stake in the club. Continue as is, or step things up.

That kind of thinking just holds us back.

In a way I hope Spurs don’t get relegated because they will be used as a excuse by us as to not take a chance and push on or justifying finishing in mid table

Another “don’t want to be a Leeds” gaslighting session

I think the Friedkin’s will see it that way mate. Another year of nothing special happening, going out the cups early again, no relegation fight, but stability under Moyes. They will be happy with that.
Not disagreeing with you but wouldn't be good enough. Better managers available this summer, a summer where we are going to spend significantly in the market.

There has to be a better plan than just 'let Moyes see out his contract and see what happens'

….maybe should’ve freshened things up in CM but beyond that, wouldn’t blame him for that. Last minute goal last week, 2-1 defeat today, maybe could’ve had a penalty. Running out of gas, Rohl/Iroegbunam energy might help.

Plenty to play for, done a terrific job.

I’d think a contract extension is still most likely.

Delusional as it gets

Stubbornly gone almost the whole season without a set piece coach. Yet another game where he’s not bothered to use all his subs, watching on as his starting players, who are seemingly undroppable unless injured, serve up another turd of a performance. Happy to put our best central midfielder to right back again, while Captain tubthump and Patterson watch on from the bench, the only central midfielder who can play any kind of meaningful through ball as well.

Another insipid display to add to a large collection of drab, uninspiring dross served up under this manager. If he hadn’t been here before you might wonder if he can change but we’ve all seen this risk-averse story for years. Let’s give him a contract for life and give him full control of the squad he can’t be bothered to use properly, a glorious future awaits of wondering why the same 15 or 16 players are shuffled about into whichever position the manager wants them while the rest of the squad and the fans watch on.

I thought that was a nailed on pen. Did we even get a corner for it?
