Mid table mediocrity was something many on here had hoped for during our desperate relegation battles of the past. Understandable.
Now that we are there we need to push on to the next level. That will not happen with this set up.
The future is clearly in the hands of the owners. This summer will be a test of their stake in the club. Continue as is, or step things up.

Let’s be honest, the owners don’t give a damn. We’re just a cash cow to fund their actual team, Roma.

They’ll look at the situation Spurs are in and will stick with the ‘safest’ pair of hands they can get, which is Moyes.

Even if that keeps us locked into 12th place finishes and first round knock outs.

And some will still be elated with it.

I just couldn't understand Moyes reasoning today. McNeil & Barry stink the gaff out in the 1st half then both come out for the 2nd half and continue to stink the gaff out. We go a goal down because we offer no threat then he decides to take off McNeil finally and put Jimmy at right back I assume to give us more attacking threat from a full back. My question is why did he only change it when we are losing. Why not change when you can see it wasn't working from the off. I see Myko done sterling defensive work at the far post again. We are fading into 13th or 14th place because Moyes has his negative head on. If Beto is not fit for the next game then try either George or Dibling........they have played up front previously.

Do any of the Moyes acolytes think that, if he wasn’t at Everton and was available, that any of Bournemouth, Brighton, Brentford would go in for him if they had a vacancy? If not, why not? I know the answer, like, but just curious as to why we should settle for him.

Plenty to play for, done a terrific job.

We don't have a realistic alternative. We are not good enough with the squad we have.

Ndiaye can play up top for a game, George can play up top for a game. There’s a youth prospect banging goals in for fun, doesn’t even make the bench.

It’s incredibly rigid and short sighted management to not try and find solutions

Points wise not much difference

Is getting to that point isn't it. People have been pointing out throughout the season that we've been just as close to 12th as we have been to 5th.

Seeing the relevance of that now as when we lose to city next week we will end up in....

Crazy to think about the buzz around the place after the Chelsea game, and how quickly Moyes has managed to completely torch that.

Getting to the point now where those advocating for Moyes can't even really say why they are beyond just repeating the mantra "look at where we were last season"

Bottom half, no youth development, favouritism, early cup exits, gaslighting manager, limited one dimensional tactics, increased prices and still no club push back against PGMOL.
So all in lots of change between seasons.

I would say makes sense for him to see out final year to continue to stabilise,but there are managers available...

I think the Friedkin’s will see it that way mate. Another year of nothing special happening, going out the cups early again, no relegation fight, but stability under Moyes. They will be happy with that.
