They also need to get more “Evertonisation” done in the stands and on the concourses - too much blue and grey nothing-ness, so I’m hoping we get all that sorted over the summer.

Why ? At Goodison we coped with the Street End and Park End for over a century then all of a sudden there was felt a need to re-name them when better had gone before them.

Bit more of an identity I guess. Also Goodison didn't have North, West, South East, like you said, street end, park end, bullens stand, main staind. Not just a compass.
