That's correct Louie. Had a stellar managerial career after leaving us. He left us in a great place too....Joe Royle wasnt good enough ????
Get in the bin lad.

Think the perfect saying for Moyes is " Flat track bully "
I was going to compare him with Graeme Hick as he would only play well against sub par opposition.
I think that's fair. The thing is we haven't been beating the teams that we "should" beat for the last few years, which is why we've struggled. That hasn't really changed either as our home record is appalling. I would settle for 14 home wins and 4 or 5 away wins and then losing to the top 4 or 5 home and away, but I don't see that happening. Football has moved on and Moyes hasn't.Think the perfect saying for Moyes is " Flat track bully "

No they absolutely are not. Completely different and it’s completely wrong to equate them.Mediocre Moyes
Those who want him to stay are the same who happy clapped Kenwright and booed the 27min protest.
He’s moved us up the table but that’s his limit as the last 2 critical games showed.
FtfyI rather win a cup but we haven’t and therefore our only real enjoyment comes from beating them.
I have to be the most joy deprived fan in this country.
Interesting how this attitude never changed anywhere else.No they absolutely are not. Completely different and it’s completely wrong to equate them.
Moyes may or may not be many things, but we’ve improved this season. The league table shows you that. Despite what anyone thinks about his first eleven years here, yes there was a ceiling which was part down to his safety first attitude, but also down to the fact that the charlatan Kenwright had us run like a corner shop. There was no money to buy anything.
If it weren’t for Moyes during some of those years we would likely been relegated, so to equate supporters of Moyes with Kenwright / 27 years is completely daft or disengenuous. And I’m pretty much on the fence about Moyes as I can see both sides of the argument.
But I suspect the issue for you is not my levels of anger, it's who the anger is aimed at.
Where on the North York moors where you on Sunday - pretty much perfect weather ?
Done a lot of running around there over the years and stayed in some beautiful little out of the way places.
Back on topic, GET OUT OF MY CLUB, YOU GINGER FRAUD.
I agree Moyes has improved us, but we’re not going to get any better now.No they absolutely are not. Completely different and it’s completely wrong to equate them.

Around Roseberry topping to Captains Cook Monument and back. Lovely loop to walk and less than 10 mins in the car.
Think I will do Lordstones on the weekend.

Football has moved on so much since Moyes 1st spell in charge, but has his tactics moved on?No they absolutely are not. Completely different and it’s completely wrong to equate them.

I suppose that is true, it is the Moyes thread and to be on topic that would be the case.
The comment you made, that you can take derby losses but not under a specific manager is, in my humble opinion, a strange way to support the club itself. I don't support the manager, I support Everton. The level of frustration/anger is dependent on the performance on the day, not who is in charge.
Would you say that if we had 20 shots on target, their keeper had an absolute worldy of a game, they scored from their only 2 shots on goal, you would still be saying what you are saying, in the manner you are saying it. The way you have been towards Moyes, I would maybe say it is a yes.
On Saturday, it was 2 fairly even teams and a draw was a fair result. People go on about the worst Liverpool team, etc. Yes, the players may not have been worth the money and the manager is not the best, but there are still some very good players in that Liverpool team. We are not better than them, as a squad. As a team we are probably around about par, they have a couple more proper match winners. To say that after the distance between us for the last few seasons is a nice thing to say, and a credit to Moyes.
It's the drift in that game that was the issue. We played ok - not great, but ok. However, the final 20 minutes or so is when it turned against us he sat rooted to his seat and watched on like it was a situation he couldn't influence. Derbies are won in these situations, and it's why Moyes has such a disastrous derby record. He just cant act when the tide turns.
16 derby losses in 12 seasons - he should feel humiliated, but he clearly feels nothing. That's why we're doomed to lots more derby defeats while he's here.
If Moyes gets a new contract here dont bet against Moyes notching up 20 derby losses.
It's an extraordinarily terrible record in local football rivalry at this level and probably not matched in any other major city rivalry in world football.
That's his legacy at Everton. His media flutters can deflect all they want, but when he finally leaves the club he'll be most remembered in this city as a man who registered an almost complete inability to compete with a local rival.
And that is all a fair assessment. I agree to a certain extent.I feel the game turned on O'Brien not taking one futrther step back, if we go 1 up then I think we win that game. Liverpool low on confidence and us massively on top. It just deflated and it was a sort of 'Here we go again' attitude. We came out in the second half and competed again, so something good was said at half time.In hindsight, it would not have been a like for like when Beto came off. As Barry ambling around just nullified any chance of getting it forward and keeping possession. If he gets another contract, then hopefully he gets enough wins to finish high up in the table, that is the only thing that truly matters, when stepping back and reviewing a season in May. It would be a shame that we didn't win the derbies, but that will be it, a shame but not a reason to sack him.
