2025/26 David Moyes

I try not to get too up and down with the emotions of football, anymore. Once nearly got me sacked because I was still in a mood on the Monday after the Clattenburg derby. It is unhealthy. Although, as I put in another response, maybe emotional was the wrong word.

I suppose it will sound too preachy to explain that it is best to take a step back and realise that football should not be governing your whole emotional state for days after a game, even a derby result. The cliche rings true for me 'never too high, never too low'. Yesterday, straight after kick off, I went for a walk in the sun with my wife, and everything was great with the world, had a nice relaxed Sunday after that.

'Useless turd'?. I know, I know, it is a waste of time even trying to have a grown up debate with you, but seriously, how old are you?

That's a pathetically patronising response.

Just reading the 'Everton fans' the BBC got comments from post match.

Who on earth are these people who are"proud of the team" and "feel sorry for Moyes because he tried to win the game"?

They're like no fan I've ever met. The BBC make that tripe up.

Genuine fans are fuming for days after another derby loss.

The same players crossed the white line yesterday that crossed it v Chelsea. Do you really think he told them to play any differently?
I really think a manager's role is to take 11 individuals and gel them into an effective team playing his tactics. If, as you say, their performance is radically different week to week, then I think it is fair to say that the manager is not doing a great job, for whatever reason.

I see the Moyes helpers have been out on the media today to underline how lucky we are to have the 16 time derby losing manager.

McCoist on TalkSport saying Moyes has narrowed the gap to Liverpool. FFS, can you believe that. The crackpot.

Now we have Sander Westerveld saying he's one of the "managers of the year".

No doubt Brazil and Gray will be along shortly to demand a 3 year contract for him.

Are they all clients at the same agency by any chance?

I am sure the next manager after Moyes will be heartened that they may finish 17th as long as 4-6 of those points are against Liverpool. It's not a great Liverpool side, but just look at the subs brought on yesterday. 2 of their subs cost a lot more than the 112 million quid we spent all summer. Very unrealistic to expect that much of us in a rigged system. Put it this way, they spent 500million this summer. If we had spent that, we would have had a points deduction. 'Fair play' indeed. My sincere hope this that we can get withing touching distance of their spending power over the next few years and be able to have a proper go at them

If we're not going to winning anything I'd take that in a heartbeat over this humiliation every derby day.

We're 10th in a nothing league and have been defeated in two derbies. Tell me why anyone should prefer that over guaranteed survival in the PL and a win and a draw in the derby?

That's a pathetically patronising response.

I apologies, I know how that can come across. Everybody reacts differently, but there are so many cases of people just getting too hot under the collar because of 22 men running around kicking a ball. It comes across preachy and patronising but it has to be said sometimes, when it looks like anger is consuming them. What does it get you, absolutely nothing.

I'll never be one of those fans who talk about getting 'centred' after another cowardly loss to Liverpool.

What sort of fan takes a derby defeat on the chin and shrugs?

No wonder we get f.a. out of these derbies.

This sort of fan.

I also, very much doubt that my feelings after the match affected the outcome of the match. What do you want me to do, get on a plane, go to Finch Farm and abuse every person who comes through the gate?

I dont expect anything from you. But you seem to expect to control my emotions.

We got beat in the last minute of a derby in our new stadium in a match we should have seized to break their stranglehold. Anyone who doesn't feel down and out atm are just weird IMO.

I can take derby losses, but not with this feller who sets up to fail in them. Three losses in them since he came back 16 months ago - to add to the 13 losses he dealt us in his first time here. And I fully expect with this man in charge to suffer another 2 next season and the season after that.

Ho-hum, though. Let's just get 'centred'.

No, you`re supposed to come on here night and day after a loss, slag Moyes off for real, imagined and totally made up faults.

Re post the same stuff over and over again, just change the wording slightly and then slope off back over to RAWK, to lend a " helping hand " when we win.
