Main issue is the same as it’s always been, he’s just far too easy to play against for defenders.Personally I thought some of the talk about his attitude yesterday was over the top, I didn't necessarily think he was lacking in effort but he looked a million miles off it in terms of ability. I'm all for giving players a chance and accepting they need time to settle and develop etc, but that level of performances at this stage is just totally unacceptable, he was almost a hindrance he was that bad.
Contact anyone.
If Beto is going to be out for a while then he has these final 5 games to save his Everton career. In recent weeks Beto has overtaken him as a starter and I think we are all agreed that Beto needs to be upgraded too. I really wanted him to do well and think that there is a player in there (Barry), but I think it's clear that he's not someone that is going to do a good job from the bench or be able to improve doing that. He needs to start games and if he doesn't show he can cut doing that in this run in then he will need to be shifted in the summer, either on loan or sold.
I completely agree with this, I just wonder whether Moyes will have the same sentiments! My reasoning around 18 months, is largely based on the club, i dont want or rather dont want the club to be in a position where they have invested in £30 mill in a player and then in a year we are making losses on players, we know in the long run were that leads to - a place we are still trying to recover rom financially.
I feel we made a decision on the lad and at times hes shown glimpses year 1 - around the turn of thee year there was optimism he beginning to look dangerous. Hes scored 6 PL goals, only two less then Beto, 1 less then £80 mill Woltemade and the same as $40 mill Evanilson - year 1.
I think hes been really bad since the Arsenal game - whatever impact that has had on him and his attachment to the club, but reciprocal sentiment seems to have changed.
Im just not prepared to write £30 mill player loss off 8 months in their career, we need not to make to losses on these players, so we have to developed them. If we start taking haircuts on him and a few other were in trouble again.
He was awful yesterday and recently admittedly and i have my own doubts, but im going to stick with it.
I would tend to agree with you but I can't shake the feeling that his attitude is all wrong. My reasoning around 18 months, is largely based on the club, i dont want or rather dont want the club to be in a position where they have invested in £30 mill in a player and then in a year we are making losses on players, we know in the long run were that leads to - a place we are still trying to recover rom financially.

Saudi clubs would laugh at him, that tells you everything.Contact Saudi.
Personally never seen him being technically good enough for the prem and doesn't make up for it in other areas.
Neither is Beto. But he makes up in other attributes that he'll be looking at another 10 goals in the prem for a second consecutive seasons - bare minimum for a striker.
I mean Konate was half concussed and still found it easy against Barry
Moyes is on record as saying we had to buy potential because we couldn't afford better, and that better players were unlikely to come to us last summer. Whilst he looks well out of this depth in the league at present I suspect Moyes might fancy a full pre-season to work with him, and view next season as the time Barry has to show whether he's ever going to be good enough for this level.
I think he has a good short game, he’s actually not bad facing a defender and he can finish, technically we’ve had worse.
He hasn’t brought the big physical presence Moyes will want in a forward, he looks swallowed up by the physicality in the PL - whether he can adapt to that is a question - because he’s not small and didn’t he come here with some crazy stat of winning some ridiculous number of rail duels in the La Liga.
I guess It's whether you think - this is it or is there any headroom in this lid still.
I have my own doubts largely based on his physicality in this league - but I think we try everything to develop him before we look to bin off £30 mill odd.
I have doubts about his physicality and ability but I have far bigger doubts about his attitude.I think he has a good short game, he’s actually not bad facing a defender and he can finish, technically we’ve had worse.
