Yeah I’ve been quite positive all week, even if I need to make ‘Everton that’ negative predictions

But waking up today I’m a wreck

I've never been less confident of getting a result in a derby.

• First game at new ground carries its own pressure/opportunity
• They're poor/fragile
• We're on a decent run
• Results have (largely) gone for us
• MASSIVE opportunity to move up the league and strengthen our chance of European football.

Traditionally, this sort of opportunity has not augured well for us.

Please let me be wrong.

I can think of two opportunities against Liverpool where they've been crap and we've been doing alright.

1. During covid at Anfield where we beat them.

2. Under Hodgson at Goodison where we beat them.

Have a bit of belief.

Not much between the 2 teams going into the game. We can’t even use the “they have spent over half a billion” excuse because what the have brought in has been cack.

I'll still be using that excuse. They're the champions, they've spent a fortune and they're about to implode with a manager the majority of their fans want sacked. If they lose it'll be a disaster for them. They have all the pressure.
