Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello all. I'm sure your daughter will have a lovely day @peteblue - sad that her Mum and Dad won't be there but happy to be getting married. You and Kay will be with her in spirit.
@Gwladysover my friend who keeps alpacas spins all their wool herself . She's a pro on her spinning wheel!
Not much to report- I did overtime this morning, we've got Frankie this afternoon until 6. He's 1 next week.I can't believe he's been here for a whole year.
Very nervous about tomorrow. A win would be huge but I'm preparing for dodgy decisions, disappointment and a feeling of injustice!
Mr F's aunt whose 100th birthday we attended last year, passed away last week. She would have been 101 yesterday. A life well lived though - sharp as a tack, still drinking, still smoking! I'd take that.
Have a good day all x
Have you seen the ref we have ? We have a 10% win rate with him !

Retirement is such a big milestone. Have you any plans to fill the day or just going to take time and figure it out?
Well my Mom 90 and I stay 3 nights a week at hers to give her some company. I'm going to be in Coventry Sunday night/Monday baby sitting my Grandson. If I get chance I will volunteer at Black Country Museum

Wonderful place to volunteer! A museum in general I mean. I’m a frequent visitor to all of them in Liverpool.

Between that, your Mum and grandson, you won’t struggle to put your day in.

I’m glad she enjoyed life, and for so long too

Hello again. I forgot to post these pics. They are not my best but I saw these guys as I drove home from dropping Mr F offat work. It was 7am. They were across the road from our old house about 5 minutes from where we now live ( we moved from one end of the village to the other. County Durham is fairly rural but we are only 4 miles outside Durham city and the road I was driving on is one of the main routes into Durham. It was amazing to see them.1000020971.webp1000020969.webp

There are plenty of road signs around Ravensdale, near me, for deer but have only ever seen them once or twice. I got to pet a deer in Dublin zoo as a kid and I still remember how rough and Brillo pad like it’s fur was to touch.

Sikas. They've probably seen you plenty.

Aye they're mostly Sika/red crosses although the local Dóelchú (pine marten with island gigantism) keep their numbers in check.
