Just a couple on Instagram from his holiday. So you are wrong there. He will start posting Drake snippets about not letting the haters get to him soon.
Please someone tag me when he does, tar. He’s that predictable.

I think he has some good attributes and some poor ones. Do I think he should be our starting striker? No. Do I think he has enough to become a squad striker for us moving forward? Yes.Like hand on heart, do you honestly rate him
What about goals and assists or goal involvements though? In isolation goals scored can be misleading (positive and negative).Looking at just goals of strikers in the league and each teams top goalscorer as a striker to see how he compares -
Haaland has 22 for City, Thiago has 19 for Brentford, Pedro has 14 for Chelsea, Welbeck has 12 for Brighton, Gyokores has 11 for Arsenal, Ekitike has 11 for Liverpool, DCL has 10 for Leeds, Watkins has 9 for Villa, Sesko has 9 for United, Jimenez has 9 for Fulham, Kroupi has 9 for Bournemouth, Richarlison has 9 for Tottenham, Mateta has 8 for Palace, Flemming has 8 for Burnley, Woltemade has 7 for Newcastle, Brobbey has 6 for Sunderland, Wilson has 5 for West Ham, Jesus has 3 for Forest, Arokodare has 3 for Wolves.
He's amongst the bottom players in terms of his goals at 6 but the gap to getting into the top 5 isn't that far. Gyokores at the league leaders only has 11 and a fair few of them have been tap-ins. A few of the other players like DCL have penalties to add to their goal tally. Yes, he's been poor at times and should have scored more but I think the game has changed for the most part in terms of having a sole striker that bags a ton for you. Haaland is a bit of an anomaly in that respect. We are seeing far more nowadays that wide forwards and the like get more goals now and the spread between the strikers and widemen is more so.
That says expected goals and assists and has Enzo Fernandez at number 4. I'm pretty sure he isn't a striker. What about goals and assists or goal involvements though? In isolation goals scored can be misleading (positive and negative).
Edit - cursory look and this doesn’t have him in the top 25 - full list is paywalled.

I know you didn't ask me, but I think this question gets asked a lot and it's too broad in my opinion.Like hand on heart, do you honestly rate him

Do I rate him: for some thing yes, for some stuff things no.
Hes a good finisher, he can carry the ball well when there is space ahead of him, he can link play well, he's decent in transition. He is decent in the air.
He doesn't work hard enough, he doesn't play well with his back to goal, he's not physically dominant despite his size.
Ultimately, if he wants to work in the PL he needs to be better at all parts of his game and hugely improve the physical parts of playing as a lone CF. If he doesn't, we will have to move on, but I think there's enough there (and given he's adapted to other leagues) to give him time.
The rest of the noise about him being 'not youth anymore', his Instagram, his celebrations, nationality, his fashion etc just feel like people channeling their own frustrations
Should have paid more attention! Was just looking at StatsMuse at actuals (for strikers) and it had Beto at 15 and Barry at 17, but DCL was on down in 20 odd place with G&A of 0 which clearly can’t be rightThat says expected goals and assists and has Enzo Fernandez at number 4. I should clarify, not back to goal link play but he does well with flicks and quick passes to keep attacks moving (probably more what you would expect from a CM).For me, do I watch him and go "would I sell you tomorrow" and the answer is always yes.
I'd rather Beto be a bench option than him - whoever we can sell for more I'd let go this Summer.
Also definitely don't see what you see in terms of aerial ability or link play.
I've seen enough from his finishes and his general play that he has potential. I know we all want instant impact but some players take time.
