2025/26 David Moyes

Yes. Going back further there was also the Texaco Cup
The Simod Cup was also known as the Full Members Cup and we got beat by Forest in the 1989 final.
The Zenith Data Systems Cup was its replacement(I think).

Both trophies introduced to replace European competition due to the ban on English clubs.

In typical Everton fashion, we missed out on the proper European competitions due to our neighbours and lost 3 finals in the replacement competitions( don’t forget the Screen Sport trophy as well)…Everton that!!

That was under King Arthur not bloody Bobby Brown Shoes.

If he had stayed any longer I think Excalibur would have been used in his demise.
And besides, Boberto’s final season at the club was more akin to Napoleon’s defeat at Waterloo…

…Then it was to anything Camelot, or King Arthur related! 🫢

Might just be the old man mentality I have at times, but I find it extremely disrespectful to label a professional club, one that came through the leagues to play in the Prem for several seasons as the f’n Dog and Duck to defend the manager that both won them a trophy and relegated them within a week of each other, walked out to sign for our club and signed 4 of their players

Yeah, but I think the whole thing was still propped up by lingering aspects of Moyes' tenure, hence why it started to fall apart at the seams with time...even with players like Rom and Gareth Barry etc; players Moyes would've killed for back then.
The question you have to ask is where would the team the season before have finished with Lukaku up front?
