As will most threads and the arguments over the most silly things. It will be like every summer
That's cause we go into every summer with no plan and just try and wing it. Sounds like this summer we might actually have some sort of plan, indications are we have a list for if we qualify for Europe and a list for if we don't.

There is some really questionable stuff posted on here as fact.

Spurs 23/24 66 pts, 24/25 38 pts, a 28 point swing. Took about 30 seconds to check. 🤷
Good find, Ange is a fitting comparable to Martinez. Both absolute charlatans. Ange was highly by Spurs fans for a while too. Probably could have blagged an entire season with Moyes drilled team.

All that can be done with any defensive minded PL coach apart from those with not a lot of quality like Burnley.

Any PL can get men behind the ball and work very hard and they'll get up the league.

Other clubs will take note of what Moyes has done and demand that as a playing style from their manager in order to secure PL status.

Ild be surprised if that isn't Moyes' major contribution to PL football.
That and our very existence as a premier league club. Thanks David

Everything with other home games that had been, wrong/not worked/defensive minded/cautious/containment football didn't apply on Saturday and that is down to Moyes and his coach. He observed Chelsea and how they played and got his tactics spot on. The onus is now on him and his coaches to work out how to win the remaining games particularly at home against City, Sunderland and in particular lfc.

A few years ago Moyes was a studio commentator at a world cup or Euros, I can't remember which, but he said he's learnt a lot by going to different international camps and observing. However, the big disappoint was that he never changed anything so obviously couldn't absorb how to play differently either he didn't have the players or it was his mindset that was ingrained in containment football. For me it was the latter. Which in a way was proved by his managerial career. That said, he did focus at West Ham and worked out how to win a trophy. Which is more than we've done since 1995. For me Moyes tenure should end if he doesn't win something by next year.

As far as the highlighted bit goes, non defensive minded managers are above us and below us. Dyche got the boot at Forest because he couldn't real work out how to utilise attacking players. His main problem with us. On the other hand, attacking minded mangers like Frank was sacked and Howe is struggling this season. So it's no absolute that either an attacking manager or a defensive minded manager will survive.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating, and Moyes deserved and earned that victory against Chelsea no matter how it is spun. As long as Moyes keeps tweaking tactics, and maybe even team selection, horses for courses and the results are favourable, hopefully to get a European adventure. Then he needs backing for next season. Then the pressure is on to deliver a trophy.

Parker is more the issue with Burnley Dave, they might not have a squad but they do have a few decent players there. Esteve the CB would make a decent squad player if we do get Europe, he will stay in the PL imo along with a few others they have, the Dutch FB and Fleming up top.
