He lifted the crowd on Saturday.
Nah, even though Moyes doesn't use him I don't think he'd risk just 1 LB in the whole squad (and academy)
Look, I'd agree with a lot of this if it wasn't for the fact that we've been able to see Aznou a few times before Saturday and he genuinely did look physically miles away. That's not a figment of Moyes's imagination, so I can't blame Moyes for not picking him ahead of Mykolenko given the evidence we all had access to.The simple calculation to be made is this:
do we benefit more on the left by having Aznou there with his attacking game or do we benefit more by having Mykolenko (theoretically) offering more stability by staying in his own half.
Most people will probably go with the former option and can see the knock on benefit to Grealish.
A positive manager goes for that option too. We have a negative manager with an ingrained bias against young players.
So Aznou wont be used much more this season...and, Moyes being Moyes, he will have heard about all this chatter among fans and want to reinforce the point that he makes the decisions....becausse that's what he does.
For the umpteenth time: Moyes makes decisions to suit Moyes, not Everton. Sometimes those two outcomes coincide, sometimes they clash - this is one of the one's that clash.
I feel sorry for the lad. If I was him I'd be off like a 'kin shot.
I actually thought he was talking about LW there which makes a lot more senseYou’re probably right but Moyes’ "there's strong competition (at left back)" comment (mad thing to say like) doesn’t bode well for the lad.
Would be nice to see him get minutes here and there out on the left wing though.

Still unforgivable to give him 0 sub minutes there until now
When were behind against Spurs, Brentford etc there was little to lose by giving him some game time, yet we got Barry plus Beto or Beto plus Barry as our get out of jail cards.Yea but we don’t actually know that because he’s not played

I would agree, however, that there have been games before Saturday (I'm thinking two games against Forest, home to Fulham and maybe Mansfield) where there were opportunities for him to get a few mins here and there on the wing, so Moyes isn't blameless here

He played in two U21 games which were televised mate, one of those against a football league side. We were able to have a look at him and it didn't look good. If it had just been the Roma game, I'd have agreed but we had three chances to have a look and it was worrying.People tend to point at the Roma game. Held been here a few weeks with new team mates. Moyes since then has largely ignored him.
There was no abilklity for us to 'see' him because he simply was never on the pitch.
I said for months on here that seeing is believing and that Ild rather be able to dismiss Aznou myself rather than rely on Moyes' self-serving judgements. And I was rightly to say that too.
Moyes has undermined that lad since he arrived. He was dismissing him on the preseason tour after about half a game.
There's something wrong with Moyes and young players. There always has been. That's a problem we have to contend with having him as manager.
Not remotely interested in that for reasons Ive outlined here over the last few days mate.He played in two U21 games which were televised mate, one of those against a football league side. That said, he's clearly got talent so, as he did with likes of Coleman in years gone by, there should have been a plan to expose him to first team football in other ways before now IMO, but there's no way anyone with a sane mind could have seen the evidence we had at our disposal and suggest playing him at left back in the first team.
I see you share a similar opinion to MoyesNot remotely interested in that for reasons Ive outlined here over the last few days mate.
Those players at that level generally speaking are not on the same wavelength as a quality player and can make them look terrible just being in their company.
I read it as strong competition left wing myself.
That's fine, but it shouldn't mean that he looked like a child in a man's game and was being bullied and not looking interested. Those three games are all we had seen until Saturday and it was pretty awful, worryingly so. I can accept him having a poor game, but we are talking about attitude and physicality, which is a bare minimum. Not remotely interested in that for reasons Ive outlined here over the last few days mate.
