Still think Top 8 would be a magnificent season considering where we’ve been. Conference League would be a nice little step up.

I don't have a 2nd club, ONLY Everton for me. But if I had to, it would be Athletic Bilbao.Well, it's a bit of a thing whether you want to follow the commercial trend which you almost have to if you want to keep up with the best or stay more traditional like we did in Bilbao.
So many things wrong with what you say, with how you think. It’s frustrating that everybody is happy that we are not fighting relegation and that’s the sum of their ambition. Moyes best is best of the rest, if you are happy with that so be it but I’m not & i hope the owners aren’t either,Happy New Year

"planting a seed of expectation, and waiting for a drought"The thing is Dave, you've built yourself a platform.
I'm not sure how or if you can down from it.
When i see you post these things, all i see is you planting a seed of expectation, and waiting for a drought..
You can still catch me at times, ( only for a second though ) so i know their will be alot of people caught in your headlights..
You put yourself there though..
Exactly. Whilst European football would be brilliant next season, it isn't make or break for me, and that doesn't mean I lack any ambition.*Cast your mind back 1 year to the day.
If someone had have shown you the position we currently sit in you'd have bitten their hand off.
That is crazy. Actually, it is stupid. No, I wasn't. I disliked him then and way before that - and I always will.
I've put my cards on the table: I dislike him intensely and I want him gone. Full stop.
Admin, to be fair, that response was in no way abusive, not even rude, not at all a "good example" of making things worse.Report, don't engage in the thread. You make it worse...this post being a good example.
After being on life support for 3 years I've always held the belief it would take us a couple of seasons to get on really steady ground.Exactly. Whilst European football would be brilliant next season, it isn't make or break for me, and that doesn't mean I lack any ambition.*
It's all relative, because we must recognise that we've been near the bottom for a reason, so it will take time to slowly but also surely move up the table.
People may mention we could move quicker, yet the club's finances will need time to be rebuilt, and you want long-term growth rather than flash in the pan.
Just look at the likes of what Newcastle, Spurs and others have spent, and they're currently below us. It's difficult to sustain a position in the league.
*back to this Everton daaa syndrome, I've mentioned to you in the Aznou thread.
Apart from our wants and desires to know as much as we can about the club, why do we need to know?On another note I’m hating the secrecy over injuries. Why won’t he tell us how long players are out for? Seems a bizarre new trend where no one updates on length of time out
Brentford presser due at 13:30, just enough time to pop out to get something to eat while he finishes his midday Turkish delight and saunters in when he’s ready.
