2025/26 David Moyes

The thing is Dave, you've built yourself a platform.
I'm not sure how or if you can down from it.

When i see you post these things, all i see is you planting a seed of expectation, and waiting for a drought..

You can still catch me at times, ( only for a second though ) so i know their will be alot of people caught in your headlights..

You put yourself there though..

No, perish the thought that people should expect a club like this to win games.

I do apologise for not expecting losses as per the expectation limitation philosophy of this manager.

This time last year you thought ā€œ3 losses in 14ā€ and 16th in the table was acceptable. They’re your standards, don’t be talking to anyone else about dumbing down expectations.

what hes done once again is instilled an incredible team spirit

its a term that seems to have escaped the football lexicon as tactics and roles have become more vogue

but just like when he came in in 2002, and then reinvigorated in 2004/05, the bond and fight between these lads is right up there as the tightest in the league

Pre-new owners, pre-spending of £110M

He’ll get the rest of this season and next season then I reckon he’ll step down.

I think it depends entirely on TFG's attitude to what they expect of Everton: if they want europe and / or trophies they'll punt Moyes this summer if we dont get into Europe...and certainly if we dont get top half in this crap league.

If they see us as an investment to be kept in the PL until they sell us on for a massive profit they'll extend Moyes' contract.

That'd be my guess. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Small margins in the league.

A lot of games still to play.

All considered - last 2 seasons, and our summer spend and manager and club captain talking Europe - let's hope we can kick on and ensure we finish top 10. That would be expected progress.

Folks...bit more civility in this thread please

We’ve got a poster in here who just openly and blatantly states he has a personal agenda against the Everton manager that has nothing to do with results/football, whose aim seems to be to inflame and create instability and division in the fanbase in order to get the manager that he’s decided he doesn’t like out of the club. Why should we be civil in response to that?

That was you under Dyche, and you're still here.

That was plenty under Benitez, too.

And you'll be civil on here because that's what we insist.

A few need to remember the below;

Please stop monopolising threads. GOT isn't a personal playground.

Reflect on whether your posts are constructive to the forum, or whether they'd a tad angst/mean spirited.

Thread bans, or forum bans to those who dont listen.
