2025/26 David Moyes

He will go only when the new owners see a see decline in results & team performances - be in a Manager is a results business in the prem ATM DM is easily safe - - he has stated he will build a foundation for the next manager.... IMO we will be a mid table team far better than in the bottom six ....

You seem rather happy now Joseph, Anything to do with a young lad being recalled..

No, I wasn't. I disliked him then and way before that - and I always will.

I've put my cards on the table: I dislike him intensely and I want him gone. Full stop.
So why pretend to justify it as
“Pre-new owners, pre-spending of £110M”

You hate the man. We get it. Grow up and stop hiding behind justification based on results, press comments, team selection, etc. Nothing will be good enough for a man who once claimed (as recently as a year ago) to support every manager - and chastised those who don’t.
You’re a parody.

That’s how I saw Moyes’ brief when they appointed him - steady the ship and build a squad to give us the foundation to progress under a new man when his 2.5yrs were up. He’s on track to deliver that but he has surprised me by talking up our aim for Europe.
2 more summer windows under Moyes and we hill have a comfortable top 8 squad.
Thing is, we all knows Moyes is capable of much more than “steadying the ship.” He made us so much better first time round and he transformed West Ham. Look at the mess they are in after thinking the grass will be greener and spending an absolute fortune on dross.

No people can moan about DM all thet want like Burnley away which was dross - but any Manager in the prem it's a results businesses & only the new owners will decide not this forum- DM may go when we least expect it....
HA should have been kept around the Squad imo - it was an obvious decision he may be back fir a month or so match fit - he needs to be utilised....

My understanding based on Moyes' own admission. He will see out the contract and then he will probably move into a consultant / DoF mode (I know he hates that role, but still...) If you have seen old Moyes' video from Euro (where he was a technical consultant / commentator or some such.), He has an astute brain on strategy, which he doesn't get to use with hands tied.

So My call is: See out the contract and then Friedkins move him upstairs to mentor the new incoming manager. That's what my take is... Could be completely wrong, but... Thats how I see it.

Good point Mike, our best defender being out so you have to give Moyes credit for how he's got Keane playing with confidence
He has and Keane has done well. However it means we play deeper to make up for the lack of pace. And for a CB, Branthwaite is very good on the ball which impacts how we play as well.

That may factor in to why we haven’t played as aggressively as Moyes had us last season, because we are starting from a deeper position.
