2025/26 David Moyes

This is true.

Does make me wonder though why records keep getting broken in other sports. People can run and swim faster, jump higher and longer and can throw further. Golf courses are being lengthened because players can hit it further (although I do appreciate that equipment is better).

Football seems to being left behind. You would think that with advances around training, diets, sports science et al, that footballers would be getting better not worse.
I’d imagine that records are being broken regularly, just not the ones that you are looking for.
Ie I’d be very suprised if fastest sprints, most distance covered etc etc aren’t being constantly broken / improved over the last couple of decades.

Zero silverware after 12 seasons - that's about 40 odd trophies up for grabs in total - suggests you might be setting a low bar for Everton and him.

You bigged up two semi finals and a Europa League run to the last 16 as success under Martinez, and celebrated being 17th under Benitez and Dyche, so no one has set a lower bar for Everton than you.

Interesting that the bar was still “safety” in January despite the new owners who apparently changed the entire landscape and adjusted our expectations dramatically overnight.

And then when we achieved safety under the new manager, as if by magic, it wasn’t good enough and we should be aiming higher.

Maybe it is time to actually start looking at banning this obvious WUM. I don’t think anybody wants him here, and I don’t even think the people that used to find his WUMming entertaining are entertained by it anymore. It’s become so tedious and obvious that the novelty has very much worn off.

He’s unraveling and needs a thread ban as much of his own sake, as everyone else’s.

Partly because those are sports where the advancements are measured against fixed metrics - against time, or distance for example.
Footballers are getting better, but for every time a goalscorer or attacking player gets better, so do the defenders and goalkeepers.

Lol.

We were 16th in the table after that draw with Arsenal last season when I posted that. I said it "wasn't good enough and we should be aiming higher".

Maybe you think 16th was high enough?

All about context...but you dont do context.

Ring the cops. Another one for the 'Fuming' thread.

Freedom of opinion is what the forums about.

@davek is GOT

They're Moyes supporters mate. I completely get it. There's a cohort on here who'd rather see Moyes keep his job - the feller who abused the club and the fans, btw - than be criticised for not winning anything in his 12 years here. A figure which is probably the worst rate of failure for trophies per season in tenure for any manager we've ever had, btw.

The feller is a duffer and needs calling out for it at every point.

You wanted us to get beat by Nottingham Forest because they’re managed by a kopite that used to manage us. Moyes spanked his scabby ginger backside and you ran away crying and hid for 24 hours after the game. Maybe sit this one out, you’re close to being found out here I suspect.
