2025/26 Tim Iroegbunam

For me hes an absolutely desperate play. The combination of laziness and lack of a brain are quite bad for the position hes playing. He just lets his physicality make up for it some times. He puts us under so much pressure, while he gets a couple of decent tackles and passes in, hes right on the edge of a horrible giveaway. A better midfield than Bournemouth and they probably nick a couple from him.
What a pathetic insult.

As many have said, his tactical , positional awareness and discipline are what need working on.
Midfield is the hardest position to play. Knowing when to go and when to sit, especially if you haven't got a lot of experience around you .
Obviously the more games the lad plays , the more he will grow into the role, which is the same for the other young lads we have, in the squad
Exactly, you can also be exposed in midfield through absolutely no fault of your own if the shape of the team is wrong or the other team are just better. He clearly has the tools to be an effective player for us. He's put in some good performances this season and good cameos from the bench. He's also had a couple of shockers. Osman only broke through for us aged 23. Tim still has time to learn his position and improve.

I’d prefer us to start with the same midfield trio, though away at Chelsea I have a fear/sneaky feeling Moyes will sacrifice Alcaraz for someone less attack minded

….i actually think that dynamic suits Alcaraz better than in a home game against a team that sits in, more specifically transitioning play & running at defenders on the counter.

Totally agree, especially as theyre without Caicedo they are there to be got at IMO - but David is historically a little cautious away against the bigger boys.

If it’s the case I want him to put Tim in rather than Gana, though (like you) I’d prefer both on the bench.
