I hope not, Their whole argument is flawed, we have been punished, if the timing of our punishment didnt suit Burnley then take it up with the PL, We were docked 8 points for 3 years of "rule breaking" 8 points devided by 3= 2.6 that is the sporting advantage that the commission decided that we had per year and it's the only way to quantify it.. 2.6 points deducted in that season would not have saved Burnley from relegation. We should drag it through the courts and then leave Burnley on the hook for legal fees.

We settled out of court with Leeds, we will do the same here.

It is isn’t it ? When you take time to examine it & everybody saw it , other clubs fans even RS still joke about it and how we’ll get city’s and Chelsea deductions .

It’s mad , hopefully our protests have them pause for thought but I doubt it .

The Forest punishment for me proved that the had near enough twice the breach than us but got less of a reduction, insane we accepted that.

Maybe that’s why the PL decided to postpone our points deduction to the season after it was applicable, to make sure we stayed up.

All that 10 points deduction nonsense that ultimately got reduced to a net 8 point deduction for two successive breaches was largely theatre, and infinitely more preferable to a four point deduction in 21/22, which would have seen us relegated.

They never postponed it, we contested it and said we were innocent.

They had nothing setup to say it had to be finalised that season. This was March and we had the hearing in November later that year.

We admitted guilt before the hearing. We played the game and used it to our advantage.

Was there anything saying the hearing should be held the following season, or were they forced into making a decision as to when the hearing would be and they chose the following season? I don't know?

But having the points deductions come the following season was indeed massively to our advantage, as in: we would have otherwise been relegated had that not been the case.

I'm not in love with the PL. I don't think having Russian ownership did us any favours. But I don't think anyone really had it in for us, and I actually think we were quite lucky during that crazy era.

I feel the league did have it in for us. Look at the infractions by Chelsea, ManU, City and look at ours. We were lucky to have it reduced. There were 115 charges against City. All of that now seemingly lost to time like tears in the rain.
