That was a strange interlude on here.Sassy Colombian knew who he was!
The magic roundabout of GOTWe’re now back to wanting Everton to buy players we haven’t heard of. After spending half a season complaining we didn’t buy prem proven players who could slot in straight away.
I see the criteria is now: player must be completely unknown, ready to light up the prem immediately, cheap, not wanted by the top clubs, has no interest playing in Europe, available in January, and must not fall into the category of slightly known or development youth player.
Good luck with that
No thanks. Ferguson has been naff for ages. If Roma want to get rid there is a reason.Theory: With Roma wanting to offload Ferguson, surely its worth taking a chance on him. He's better than Beto. Agree a deal to take over his loan and sell Beto. Re-invest that money in a fullback. Buy a striker (possibly Ferguson, if it goes well) in the summer.
Agreed - how many times does he need to fail before people stop going on about him.No thanks. Ferguson has been naff for ages. If Roma want to get rid there is a reason.
Very worrying as he is not a lone striker at all. His best position is as a second striker. The Bobble has said we did make enquiries about Zirkzee, not sure when this was but I presume it wasn’t that long ago. I wouldn’t want him, if it’s a last minute loan end of Jan for another player who can play up front, fair enough.
But it’s really worrying if Moyes and the recruitment team, think he’s worth paying actual money for
It's different posters, SD. There's a constituency of "premier league proven" posters and a constituency of "develop talent for the future" posters. Neither have changed their minds, events just lead to one group or the other being more vocal. For example, @Zatara will always suggest young players from foreign leagues and @Eggs will always want premier league veterans. It's why they are always sniping at each other. We’re now back to wanting Everton to buy players we haven’t heard of. Ndiaye wasn’t really plucked from obscurity was he and branthwaite was bought as a promising prospect , who was the last player we got who no one had really heard of and came straight into the side and started performing ?
