I know Twitter or X (whatever it is these days) is full of, for want of a better word , rubbish but sometimes something touches my heart. This is it, sharing it for my Mum who loved penguins.

Babies are most definitely a young man’s (or woman’s game). My nieces and nephews remind me of this fact on an almost daily basis!Hello all. After the excitement of Saturday it's all been a bit quiet. We had Frankie sleeping over last night - Mum was working until 11 and was on breakfast shift at 7 this morning. He's teething at the moment so was a bit out of sorts. He didn't go to sleep until midnight in spite of being absolutely worn out. Mr F and I are planning a very early night tonight. Babies are adorable but hard work!
Its been an OK day weather wise but it has just started pouring down.
And finally...I never felt more like singing the blues....you know the rest.![]()
Funnily enough I toddled off sometime after 6.30pm last night singing that only for Mrs J to remark " Liverpool lost did they?"Hello all. After the excitement of Saturday it's all been a bit quiet. Oh my you are so right. I think I massively underestimated how hard work looking after a one year old would be albeit the most amazing thing in the world. I sadly had to go back to work when Josh was very young (about 10 weeks) and I missed out on so much but I can honestly say I think work was the easiest option from a physically demanding point of view. I hated that I had to go back and still get huge guilt feelings but hey we all do what we have to do and what we think is for the best.Babies are most definitely a young man’s (or woman’s game). You would say that though.Morning everyone,
Been a bit busy lately and not been posting a huge amount apologies.
@anjelikaferrett - how great were the Rats ? Great spec looking at your photos and yep a brilliant day all round.
So, a very quick catch up .....
All the acers and rhodis moved. One was especially troublesome and took me a day to dig out but they all look great in their new locations so fingers crossed that they take well. It will soon be time to prepare the garden for the winter . I keep a close eye on the weather but nothing cold forecast for the next 2 weeks so not yet time to cover my bananas for the winter ...and no that's not a euphemism for something filthy @Gwladysover
.
Primarily I've been busy sorting out mum's new carer . As y'all know I had major problems with a big agency employed by the council and decided to take matters into my own hands and after some negotiations got the care budget off LCC and got someone local. Sheila lives in the next village but is from Wigan ( shut your eyes and you'd swear that @Val P was in the room) and is fantastic.
Mum likes her , she turns up on time , stays the full hour , and is caring and empathetic. In short it has been a revelation. Mum is happy ( ish ) and more relaxed.
Brilliant to pick up 3 points on Saturday but I thought Fulham looked awful and have a whiff of relegation about them.
Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

I used to feel so guilty every time I closed the front door to go to work. At one point in my commute I could see my house from about a mile away over fields and I used to stare at it and question myself all the while.Oh my you are so right.
