2025/26 Thierno Barry

Similar to my reaction.. We have 2 strikers at the moment and neither of them would be classed as a lone striker to play that position you need to be able to make things happen in the box, we have 1 player Ndiaye that could play alone up front, Barry and Beto just arnt that, Moyes must shoulder some of the blame here asking them to play as a 1 man up top... Obviously dosent excuse that miss.

I said last night that Moyes had no right letting him start that second half without changing the attacking set up to give him a player to play off or with.

He handed him 12 minutes under a failed system on the night for him then hauled him off. WTF.

Yep, it ain’t working, just like it wasn’t for dcl
We need to try to do more for our strikers

Also, every striker misses sitters, literally everyone - it’s just that this kid is under intense scrutiny

I think Charley is the man to try out in a more attacking role with Barry or Beto.

I'd have an attack of Ndiaye Alcaraz and Grealish, tbh. Call it a false nine or whatever, but that works better than either Beto or Barry on their own up front or with someone alongside them.

Time to be radical...unfortunately we have a cautious manager.
Who is going to feed those players though?
None are likely to win long punts from Pickford, and perhaps Garner is the only other player who can pick a pass.

Those are our three players most likely to create a goal, but they're also the three who can take the ball from someone in our own half and make something happen in the final third.

Miss aside I thought he played reasonably well, he clearly is better at holding the ball up and winning duels than Beto. I'd like to see him get a run of full 90s and a bit of faith put in him. This constantly chopping and changing is doing no one any good

In Beto and Barry we've got 2 lads who've only actually been at top flight cubs for 4 years or so and it shows

It can sometimes work (I guess Ndiaye was a bit of a late starter) but usually they just look totally out of their depth

Barry hasn't a single tackle

We shop at estate sales, hoping for a bargain. It's like those idiots who buy abandoned storage lockers hoping a 'kin Monet or Renoir will be tucked away in the corner; driving around in a POS transit van with two tyres that are half inflated and loading doors kept together with a bicycle chain.

We're a joke and get what we pay for...the last 30+ years prove it. Our best striker ended up being a floozy.
