2025/26 David Moyes

I think a lot of us are being reminded of why we all excited when we leave.

His tactics and results away at the bigger clubs is beyond shocking.

He will see out the season but I really think he will be gone unless we somehow get Europe.....
And yet apart from one season under Martinez we've been in near terminal decline ever since despite spunking a fair bit of money up the wall (money that Moyes could only have dreamed of) and our results against the top clubs haven't improved at all. Unless someone with a proven track record is available we would be mad to ditch him. We still a lot closer to being a relegation threatened team than one challenging for Europe. Everyone has completely forgotten the last 3/4 seasons.

Looks like the general madness in this thread from the last couple of days has calmed down...

I think you'd do well to find a metric in which we have not improved on this season vs the last 3 or 4. It's still early enough in the season that a single win or single loss can result in a big shift in league position (for example, if we beat Spurs on Sunday and other results go our way we could feasibly jump 5 league places) so it's still a little too early to get to caught up with our current league placing.

It's far from perfect - it's pretty far from being great, but we're obviously improving, and that's Moyes' task in hand in my opinion. Improve us this season and next so we're in a nice, stable position to bring in the next manager to hopefully push us onto the next level.

The same way we managed to beat Palace who spanked Liverpool.
If we hadn't started the Anfield derby terribly we would've got something out that game, we were the better side for an hour. They've since lost 4 on the spin.

We've got to be beating the likes of West Ham at home if we want to make anything of this season, they're utterly dreadful.

Has anyone on this forum actually played football? Most of the other teams in the league spend just as much as we do if not considerably more, they train just as much as we do and they want to win just as much as we do. Most of them have considerably more talent at their disposal than we do. We have no divine right to win any premier league game.
