Indeed. Especially as the Irish midfield is not as strong as it once was. But Trap, a bit like Moyes, will stick to tried and tested formula.

Well done, Gibbo! I see Coleman is on standby-probably would have made the full squad if he hadn't missed so many games through injury.

Yep, Whelan and Andrews will start the first game, you can bet your house on it. Hopefully Gibbo will get at least some appearance time during the tournament.

How many long shots has he had?

He was often touted as having a great long shot but other than maybe2 or 3 i can't remember many.

Feel like we could really have used him against Wolves. From what I saw of the game, we often tried to be too cute with the ball instead of taking the shot when the chance was there. Would have been nice to see a couple longer-range rockets from him on Sunday. Hope he'll be back for the Newcastle game, would be great to finish with a win at Goodison.

For the price paid, Gibson's been an amazing buy.

Gutted McCarthy missed isnt in the squad - but understandable.

Feel a bit for Paul McShane as well - but hes badly gash.

Trapp doesnt rate Seamus simple as. He likes Duffy though.

Gibson has done really good since arriving, him and Fellaini in the middle have been awesome, Gibson kinda goes unnoticed but if you sit and watch him his tackles are top notch, he picks out great passes too. I think next season we'll see a better Gibson. His match sharpness wasn't the best when he first arrived but now he's playing more and now at a place where he gets games and is loved, he'll show his best. Bring on next season!

Really, really starting to like this man. Hadn't been having enough shots before today but now he looks a complete player. £500k. What a signing he could be.

He was great today, him and Neville, well apart from Nevilles chipped passes that he needs to knock on the head, but yeah, they both did the dirty work today.

Another Moyes gem.
