Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

There is no down side for Forest fans though - they’ve just had 30 years in the Championship. They could plod on in the bottom half of the Prem for 3 years and get relegated (like say West Brom or Norwich do), or they could actually go for it and see where it takes them.

Their fans will be loving the ride.
Agreed. Its the not the same as us as we've still got the scars of the Moshiri era. It's why I'm not stressing about the recruitment problems this window as I was fearing with the big turnover of players needed we'd start filling our squad with stop gap players who'll do a job but not take you forward. Sometimes being patient brings rewards

What happened to the links with the polish cb from arsenal? he can also play left back he'd be ideal
Havent seen any links i kno was some to italy and sure was 25 mill plus
He never said that, he said Everton asked the question and brownhill wants 85k a week and Everton as of now have walked away.
And they asked Villa about matty cash and Villa want 20mil and Everton said no thanks
Defo walk away far to much money

So we don’t have any money yet apparently had £40m to throw at Dibling?
No. Read my later posts. We are so close to our budget limit that the club are worried about being able to even offer free transfers of the calibre of Brownhill contracts, if we stump up the money for Dibling.

Which, would make you think the club should walk away. However, bu the sounds of what else was said, the ONLY options left to us if we do at this late stage are Trincão and Fellows. We've basically left it almost too late by the sounds of it.

If it was me, I would just sign Dibling and then scramble round to fill what we can as thebwindow draws to a close, but it sounds like the three stooges on our current committee would rather dither.

Yeah believe you but confused what bod we put in for fofana aswell. Just looks poor from all them

Interesting to see the rhetoric change from Bobble and his mates now the supply of info is being cut otf

A club struggling for money doesn’t lash £12 million on Grealishes wages. It’s more likely we know we need 4-5 players and the budget/PSR room needs is tight if we want them all

We should have whatever cash that was/is earmarked for Dibling and after that a loan fund knowing that there is no such thing as a free loan.

It might indeed be a stretch to bring another 4 players in but I would also imagine that some players will become available on loan very late and we won't see the level of supposed disagreement on them within "the committee". My guess is they'll take what they can get at that point which is fair enough with loans being of much reduced risk.

All in all you'd still want us to try and do a bit of savvy business though be it full transfer or loan. If there was ever a summer we needed someone like Lukaku joining on loan, this is it.

The club that was paying Doucoure 120k a week is not getting skittish over 85k. We're in the doldrums.
