Mad the hate he gets. Lead the line when he could and gave his all. Not his fault he get injured and never really got over it. Scored some vital goals for us and was our striker when we couldn’t go out and get a better one. We will hopefully go out and get someone better but I don’t think there should be any animosity towards him from any evertonian.

Everyone is so excited for a new era, there is a general dislike and disassociation to anything that’s gone before, the longer you’ve been here the more hostile.

Understandable, especially as the last 35 years have been a disgrace and for much of that time Kenwright was surrounding himself with graces and favours. We need dekenwrightification.

It’s interesting looking at what players left in the squad from what era under the last Regime:

Walsh: Pickford, DCL, Keane, Idrissa.

Brands: Branthwaite - maybe generously giving him Myko and Patterson.

Everyone else’s is Kevs, bar Coleman.

Having four of Walsh’s signings still in the squad and not playing minor roles is surprising.

Not that surprising considering they're mainly the English lads we need for quotas, one is a quality goalie and the other was sold and came back.

Hate shouldn't happen but Beto showed under Moyes what DCL has been lacking: strong desire and strong hold up play, getting plenty of goals
