Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

This will be an incredibly unpopular opinion but it's because of Coleman. His value to a succession of managers as a bridge between the coaching staff and playing staff, it seems to me, has made them reluctant to seriously look at replacing him. I'm not sure that isn't still the case.
I doubt any manager is going to bet on Coleman staying fit enough to be our first choice.

That they would like him in the dressing room is obvious.

I genuinely think Kenwright put a block on replacing Coleman. The way we didn’t even attempt to look for a replacement regardless of who was the manager or DOF was just too weird.

You say that but, barring a punt on a young lad from the Scottish league, they've been doing it for years. We've needed a new starting RB for at least five years and nothing. Players for the long term have been signed in just about every other position (except maybe LB) in that time. Stop gap after stop gap.

Stop gaps sure - but we've been broke so can't replace a bad bet in Patterson. Maybe we can now ? Or Jake will continue or Nathan gets a chance.

He's done I reckon Macca, I've never seen a top player so reliant on a single attribute, and that attribute is gone
Agree with. He was a cheat for City because of his pace and ability to stop counter attacks. But he’s always been a pretty one dimensional player. He lacks intelligence and nous. He will be caught out of position all the time in our system and we’ll be shocked by how bad his final ball is.

This sounds very far fetched mate, next you'll be saying the owner kenwright got in wouldnt sell Mccarthy as he was family and was worried about lukakus mum doing a voodoo
