Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Nonsense. He was scoring and assisting open play goals under Moyes as well.

2 passes in particular that nobody else in our squad are capable of.

One for Doucoures goal against Forest and one for the last ever goal at goodison.

His pressing is one of the best in the squad as well.
Pressing, pressing, pressing sick to death of hearing that word. And I actually disagree he’s to slow to press and half the time he looks like he can’t be arsed to run, I could be wrong, because pressing is not something i want to judge my football team on, but I’d be surprised he has better stats than ndaiye off the ball.

McNeil is a decent player, noting more, nothing less. We want to kick on and get top half and into Europe, then he won’t be around to see it, James garner is another a very average bottom half prem player.

This is going to be a crazy window when we pull the trigger.. was a few years back now when we had the window with Keane, Pickford etc etc signing and it felt like we were buying a new player every day of the week! It’s pretty much going to be like that when we start.. this place will be spectacular!
I don’t see us starting until first week in July but I reckon we’ll have 4 in for pre season and 4/5 more by deadline day.
Mammoth task but exciting!

Fine, if you want to judge him by other metrics than pressing/defensive actions, how about his goals/assists and chances created. Are they good enough metrics to judge a footballer by?

Is he a world beater? No.

Is he right now the very least of our problems? Undoubtedly.

Yarmolyuk at Brentford looks interesting.

Of course its just youtube but the way he has a 'picture' in his mind as soon as he gets the ball is very promising. He looks like he's able to pass the ball very quickly short/long as soon as he receives it.

The type of DM which would suit a counter attacking side and only 21.
maybe Mykolenko can have a word....
