Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If Chukwuemeka wasn’t injury prone I’d be interested. But if he did alright and we wanted to buy, Chelsea would want money similar to what you could bring Diarra in for. Doesn’t make sense our end to develop other teams talents just because they’re available. Loans should be used to take a chance on a player you usually would be able to buy or to bring in short term cover whilst you plan ahead.
Have we even bid for the lad?
Seeing links but nothing concrete

Just had an opportunity for Gana to tap him up too
Last 2 windows we try and now under new leadership has interest wained?

No, but there was pretty concrete rumours that Thelwell was a big fan. Not sure what ‘carried over’ into the new regime. He’s a very highly regarded young midfielder though so assume he’s of some interest to a lot of teams, varying seriousness.

I was mostly just using his name as a comparison though for what could be value in the market.

I hope we do go for him, exactly the kind of player we should be signing

We should be all over that

The noises from the Leeds camp are apparently ‘unoptimistic’ and expect others to bid, following their opener (has it broke yet if their bid was even accepted?)

Definitely a player I think many would like to see us go for, just need to avoid a mad bidding war if it breaks out.

We have Gueye and Ndiaye though, 2 extremely well regarded players here, hopefully they could get on the blower if it came down to it. I do not care at all about AFCON. The reality is, some of the best talents in the world are coming from Africa and they are extremely proud to represent their nation (as everyone else is). That’s what a squad is for, it should be a point of pride to have internationally capped players in the team, no matter where they’re from. I’m in full support of our English and Senegalese Lions!

Absolutely
The RS having Salah and for a time Mane didn't do them any harm
It's only for about 4-5 weeks
Well worth having the quality

What does are mostly available for sale mean? Is there some other Chelsea developed money making scam\clause they have inserted? Pay us £20 million and you get 90% of a player.
This week I have mostly been sorting out the wheat from the chaff at Chelsea...
