Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If United get Mbuemo for £55m it'll throw off all valuations this window. Incredibly cheap price if they can somehow force Brentford to accept it due to the player wanting to leave

You're far more optimistic than me mate and I hope you're right.
From what I've seen, read, heard and understood is that nobody knows much about these new owners, they seem shifty and who actually owns the stadium is open to conjecture and interpretation.
Same owners as Roma fc , so I a lot of my expectations come from observing how they operated since they've acquired Roma. I can't be certain what they'll spend here but they have invested a substantial amount at Roma and have shown some ambition with hiring mourinho in the past and just a couple of days ago , gasperini from Atalanta, who won the Europa cup last season. I understand the wariness since Moshiri and kenwright were extremely underwhelming and inept owners

I'm not trying to ostracize anyone on this thread, but there seems to be an ample amount of posters that appear to enjoy huffing paint while they muse about transfers or other random rants going by some of the comments. I won't dictate how someone lives their life but maybe take a break once in a while fellas

Someone previously suggested Mihailo Ivanović - seems he's possibly on his way to Wolves unfortunately. 20 years old with 12 goals in the Championship in his first year. Looks to be a player with big potential.

I personally don't think it'll make much of a difference. I don't think think United signing Mbuemo for £55m would, for example, bring Brathwaite's price down from £80m to a similar fee, when we rejected that 12 months ago. Mbuemo has only had one outstanding season; prior to that he'd scored 9 goals in each of the previous two. A steady striker for sure, but approaching £60m seems about right.

Dude scored 20 PL goals this season, how much is that worth to Brentford…..more than Ā£55 mill id say.
Personally hope they demand 80 million of f’off

Although feel united getting their friends in the press to leak like they did with Brainthwaite last summer to unsettle player on the hope they get him cheaper

I’m surprised he and Cunha have and are interested in in going their mate, Utd are still prob the biggest club in the league world wide, but it’s a brave man who’d back them to win a title with the next five years when both are in their prime.

Neither would be out of place in a title winning or CL team.

Hope Brentford take them t9 the cleaners.

?? Cunha is already there. And if we’re being honest, money talks. They’ll both be getting significant raises going to United. Cash almost always wins the day.

Mbuemo Is currently in £50,000 a week at Brentford.
He’s negotiating for Ā£250,000 a week at Utd.

You’d take a 500% pay rise if you could.

Never underestimate Utds massive income. Top 2 in the world even now.

Exactly, and who could blame him? United pay Rashford over £300,000 a week and they don't want him. They pay Sancho the same and have been desperately trying to offload him. Now they are trying to bring in Mbuemo to, you'd assume, start games for them. United themselves have set the level of salary for a striker in their squad - you cannot blame his agent one jot for demanding parity for those that have been there before him. Screw them! Another reason why I am made up they squandered a golden chance to get in the Champions League after their worst season in decades.
