Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I don't think our finances are that grim , we don't have to worry about financial fair play this season and the Friedkins have put money into the club along with attaining a sponsor for the stadium
Now Brother, call me quizzical, or at least sceptical, BUT currently I'm seeing us a the fella with about 5 teeth sitting on the sofa saying "ah now, for the last few years I couldn't afford bog roll, I've been out collecting leaves from surrounding gardens to wipe our erses on and me and the Missus have been living on boiled and raw Slugs, BUT now I've signed up to Freidkin in one affordable rip off, I'm off Miami, driving around in a Ferrari and I won't get prosecuted for having me nob out on the beach".
So where is the catch?
We are Everton, apart from that charlatan Moshiri, nobody who knows what they are doing comes along and with an offer of one affordable loan and next season you can buy top, top players without there being a massive downside for us.

This thread is increasingly concerning. DCL isn’t consistently good enough anyway but the biggest issue by far is the injuries. The last few seasons have seen us in relegation battles in large part because we’ve simply not had enough forwards fit and capable of scoring consistently. I’ve no idea about Beto, I truly don’t. Some of his goals are superb but sometimes I watch him and think it’s like someone’s put an Everton shirt on a baby giraffe. As someone else said, Man Utd just spent over £110M on new forwards. They may be terrible but they’re more likely to be successful.

I was just browsing the Dutch footballnews a bit when I came upon a post where PSV and Croatian right winger Ivan Perisic apparently snubbed Marseille. He might actually be a very good option for us. I know the guy is 36 years old but he was absolute class this season for PSV. He scored a lot of important goals when PSV needed them the most and was the best player in the league imo.

Considering all our needs he could be brought in as a very good stop-gap for next season for our rightwing difficulties. He will be fairly cheap (maybe even a free transfer) and is fit and good enough for at least one season. That way we can prioritize on other positions this summer and leave the rightwing for next season.

I would rather take a risk on the guy he displaced. Higher ceiling.

Appreciate the apology mate. I’ll only defend myself when my integrity is being questioned or something is said that I believe is personal or unfair. Everyone is allowed an opinion, that’s fine. You can’t please all and I won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s life 👍🏼
I have no idea who you are or what your full time job is if it isn’t Everton related stuff.

However, I think our fans have a right to be slightly reticent to listen to a fellow fan (which you have just said you are) because for the last number of years there have been numerous occasions where fans have tried to elevate themselves to positions of trust and that has then gone to their head and it became clear they only had their own interests at heart.
