They can agree & sign anytime then register/pay for them from 1st July.
Most contracts start on 1st July & end 30th June every summer.
Worth a listen
If transfer fees are recorded as the amortised amount per year for PSR, wouldn’t a budget of £100 million theoretically permit 5-6 players in that ballpark price range plus some loan fees?
If we had a squad full of players contracted for a few years, we shouldn't need such a big rebuild for a few seasons. Maybe the odd player coming in but also some going out. I think the next couple of windows we're likely to spend more than we would in the coming seasons. But they we’d potentially have zero (hardly any) budget for the next few years
If everything remained the same, but hopefully commercial performance will improve consistently, moving into BMD will increase income, player sales will likely happen, PSR position continues to improve, league position improves etc etcBut they we’d potentially have zero (hardly any) budget for the next few years
Strange one, that. Kelleher's a decent keeper but Flekken is also very decent. Not sure why that's a priority signing for them.
HAS to be the Friedkin priority this summer. Build a team around this lad. He is the foundation block (along with the massively underrated world-class figure behind him).….’zero push from the player’ is key, be good if we can get him on a new deal.
You are correct, if they offer 5 year contracts, that 30m player costs, lets say 6m+4m(wages) so 10m on PSR per year. We can afford 5-6 of them.If transfer fees are recorded as the amortised amount per year for PSR, wouldn’t a budget of £100 million theoretically permit 5-6 players in that ballpark price range plus some loan fees?
