Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Anyone thinking of selling JB for less than £100 mill is a clown.

If Chelsea are serious then it’s £100 mill +, they have been and still are spending like sailors ffs, make them pay.

He’s Proven PL quality ant a great age and then add English tax.

Hopefully He stays for a long time, future Everton captain.
Liverpool reported fee for Quansah is £50 million and he is nowhere near j b

I’m actually coming round to the Hamer deal if we could make it work for a decent price. Moyes would have him fully fit absolutely no question. He’s got pace, and technique. I think he’d link well with Ndiaye and Alcaraz, could be an exciting area of the pitch if they all dovetailed.

Hamer is a great player. Proven in the Premier League and did well despite being in a poor team. Hope we get him.

I'd be absolutely gutted to lose Branthwaite but if we could get £100m for him, which I wholeheartedly believe he is worth, I can take solace in the fact that we have Jake O'Brien ready to step in immediately.

£100m would give us the financial leeway to completely transform our playing staff.

The take home and perhaps comfort for me from the Delap shenanigans is we can make a transfer for £30 mill pound if we want to.
Hmm.. did we actually put in any sort of attempt to meet his release clause? Or just kick his tyres for the cameras?
At no point was he ever likely to sign for us.

Ask yourself why he’s spent all his career in the lower leagues? Bar one season and he’s 28. Not had a sniff of a Dutch cap, Klassen has 40, van de beek has 20. Hamer is nowhere good enough for where we want to go, if we’re just looking to finish 17th as dyche would say then yes let’s buy him, and brownhill , Longstaff, get Harrison back etc

So did Cahill when we bought him and Lescott. Jagielka and Baines had played for very poor PL sides that had gone down same as Hamer. Vardy hadn’t played at any decent level before joining Leicester.

Players can improve. I’m only going on what I’ve seen of him recently and he looks a good player to me. If we can go out and get a better player than him who is younger and has the pedigree of playing in a top league for a few seasons then that would be great but we’ll probably find ourselves up against the top teams in Europe bidding for them.

19/20: Idrissa Gana Gueye - £25m
21/22: Lucas Digne - £25m
22/23: Richarlison - £55m and Gordon - £40m
23/24: Alex Iwobi - £22m
24/25: Amadou Onana - £50m

With so much anticipation about the squad rebuild and moving to the new ground it’s such a shame that we’re yet again discussing selling our best player…

Let’s just have one year of not selling one of our better players please Everton🙏🏻

The world record transfer fee for a defender is 80 mil

I think it is completely unrealistic to think that we would get a world record transfer fee for Branthwaite. Tarkowski has a better rating than him this season and he was a free signing.

If Huijsen went for 50 mil then I think teams are only going to pay around that figure for a young highly rated defender in this current market
Great, we keep him so.

If we have to sell Branthwaite, it's time we challenged records. Otherwise, not worth it.

If they want to pay us 100m, we might have a decision to make.

None of which were 28, though.

How much improvement can be made at the age of 28?
