Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Saying this the other day to my brother

Need to go out and buy some eastern block defenders

Proper war criminals that grew up playing and had to use barbed wire for their goal nets and played on mine fields as kids .

They are tough and do not have a moments hesitation about splitting their head open when challenging for a ball …

I used to love invanovic and vidic
Yes Serbs and Croats.....

All in

Our need for a second striker that isn't absolutely crap outweighs our need for a superstar winger, I get that. But there are actually only three years between Delap and Mbuemo. Delap is 22 and Mbuemo is 25, but Mbuemo's goal scoring and assists record absolutely wipes the floor with Delap. Mbuemo got 20 goals and eight assists this season!
Delap all day long for me......

Mbuemo to Utd..... That won't end well for either..

Just wait for the generation that come out of Albania after listening to Dua Lipa! Oh wait...

Is Paixao gettable for us? What's the praat oppi straat?
Hahaha. De praat op straat (word on the street) is (or rather was a few weeks ago) that Everton is interested in Hancko, central defender aged 27. Not a bad player but considering we have JB, Tarky and OBrien, I wouldnt break the bank for him.

Paixao's favourite position is left winger. Like CB, not the position we need strengthening the most. Would like to see him playing for us but he won't come cheap. And we probably need the money for other positions this summer.

For me, Grealish operates on a completely different level compared to what we currently have with the possible exception of Iliman Ndiaye, should he maintain his current form. Grealish has won almost everything there is to win and has consistently demonstrated his quality.

One of his most valuable attributes is his ability to retain possession in advanced areas, which has been a long-standing issue for us. Unlike others we've brought in before, I do not view this as another Dele Alli-type risk. Grealish still has that hunger and sharpness. His recent displays for England suggested he thrives with more freedom something Moyes would provide him. I genuinely believe he could flourish again.
Grealish would be fantastic but I just can't see it happening. City would have to really sub his wages for it to make any sense. It's clear he and pep have enough of each other. But I'd imagine Villa, Newcastle, would be well ahead of us in the pecking order.

Back to Villa I would imagine, he was brilliant for them.

The season ended *checks calendar* 3 days ago mate.
Yep. We don't have a recruitment team in place as Thelwell and Purdy are leaving, Kinnear isn't in place and we don't know what Hammond's role is yet.

Noise from the press means that either there are leaks (bad) or that journalists are making stuff up (probable). Not hearing anything from the club is ideal right now.
