Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I said it before, but I think Ben Doak is Jack Harrison Jr. He's a very similar player, i.e., undersized, hardworking, keeps making certain people think there's something there, but probably will never be worth the investment. He's faster than Harrison, but not as strong and weaker in every aspect, and it's a massive gamble to think he'll turn into something more and thrive in the Premier League because he's fast.
He's Ryan Fraser mk ll...it's the figure that's getting banded about that making me uncomfortable.

For years I've bemoaned the fact people give the vermin top dollar for their reserves,i don't want us to fall into that trap.

Angel Gomes and Kyle Walker Peters would be two quality free transfer-signings, as long as they dont want and outrageous sign on fee.

Hope we see Everton making these shrewded pieces of business and not splashing cash on “names” which heart is not in place. That nearly killed us.

Hence we should STAY AWAY from Grealish. He’s an prime example of the opposite of an Everton-player. Besides, we have a similar player in N’Diaye who I find better anyway

….not seen a link to Grealish so hope it’s just a few on here wanting him. Two stupidly overpriced and extremely lucky footballers are Jack Grealish and Jadon Sancho. Need to avoid these types like the plague.

Should find out more in the next 48 hours who we’re looking to extend and which loanees we want to buy.

I've seen bits and bobs. I maintain my stance. Not exactly set the Championship on fire for Boro. Plus add in the RS factor. If we've money it'll be spent better elsewhere in my opinion. Bet your watched every game he's ever played so guess you're better placed than me to have an opinion though, which is fine.
I saw him play once for Scotland against Croatia where he looked decent but its too small a sample size to make an accurate rating. So you're probably in a better position than I am to judge him but I'd imagine our scouts have seen more than bits and bobs and if they think he has something to offer then we'll have to respect their superior judgement. At least he has a good age profile and we're not shelling out that kind of money on the Bolasie types which we could accurately predict wasn't the smartest policy

18 mil max....25-30 mil are crazy numbers.

If goes south with him you ain't getting your money back on that figure.

Whether about Malen from Villa for the right. He not really started for them and he fast and skilful.
Emery said he's a long term project the other day and he (Malen) knew that when he signed.

They could be in a bit of bother as they've outlaid a lot with the strategy being for Champs League. Interesting to see where they go now.

He's still got years in the tank,he's just fell foul of not being Pep's flavour of the month,it happened with Sterling.

For us to even consider him the price, contract and if he's still got the hunger all have to be right.
He is 30 in September. Would be us not learning from anything again for me. We should be having the approach like Brighton at the moment until we improve in the league and start being in Europe regularly.

You're right mate but that's just me personally,I still think he's got something to offer.

Like I stated though,a lot of Stars would have aligned before I was comfortable with it.

I can't see grealish coming here, even if he was interested. Astronomical wages and doesn't seem a Moyes type player. He's a luxury transfer punt for a CL team. We can't be taking that kind of risk. Not in this window.

Any experienced heads we sign must surely be at the cheaper end of the market to plug gaps to allow us to spend the bigger portion of our budget on young lads we can mold into stars.
