Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

us and West Ham being linked to Lazio's Argentine striker Valentin "Taty" Castellanos, he has had 10 goals in 28 serie A games this season and helped Lazio finish in a European spot. A fee of £29m is quoted, looks decent for that kind of money.

Our bloody Valentin?

Weve made a massive recruitment error already...losing Thelwell

…you really do need to get over it, he’s not wanted here for a reason.

In December you posted I should personally thank him for bringing in Broja
Think there’s some middle ground here. I don’t think he had done an incredibly good job but I think contextually he did well in the circumstances.

Really nice bloke as well and genuinely took the club to heart. I would have liked to see him get another year without his hands tied.

It was almost inevitable the new owners would want a change of direction though, and understandably so.

Not sure it’s a massive error really or what quantifies that. No director of football for me would be a ‘massive error’.

I watch lots of Lazio, he is a good player, but im not sure he can cut it in the prem.

Its the physicality and pace of the league thats the killer.

He is tchnically good, very good even. But not very fast, or strong enough for us with the way we need a striker under Moyes.

Just because I can’t help myself… they’re not confirmed as finishing in a European spot yet are they? If they lose their final league game and Fiorentina win then they’ll miss out?

(Not that any of that alters how good he might be as a signing, which is the whole point. I hate myself sometimes)

if you look at the prem appearances from this season there is a solid argument that we should sell patterson

he's not even useful as a backup

chermiti should also be loaned out to get some experience

it looks like coleman is going to be offered another year contract although at this stage god knows why, he's a great man but he's an utter crock of a player now and barely plays

we are getting rid of a fullback who played 31 games for us in ashley young which means we effectively only have 1 actual full back in the entire first team who actually plays games

jake o'brien at right back is not a long term solution to this problem

we need to strengthen the full back positions considerably in the summer as a priority and then the central midfield

i'd only let Beto go if it meant we were bringing in someone like Delap and Vardy

I’ll let DCL go. To let Beto leaves is madness. And a 38 years Vardy no thanks.
