We replaced Lonergan, we will replace Begovic. He might have other plans, he might have chose to leave rather than us just not offering a contract.

It's also not like Pickford isn't experienced himself at this point. He's got 10 years of top flight experience and 7 years as England's #1.

He actually started away at Fulham last weekend and had a solid game.

If he’s still up to it physically I’m not against him as a backup. Must be a fantastic influence in the dressing room as well.

He is FORTY years old.
