Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I think he is a good player but there certainly is a lot of extra hype as he is English.
Only 1 good season all be it in a poor team, but he is the star man so they play to his attributes.
But £30m isn't big money for a striker and even if it didn't work out we could get most of it back through loan fees and a sale.
He has only got 12 goals and there are numerous players from relegated teams scoring double figures that didn't go on to bigger and better things.
Morris with Luton, Pukki with Norwich and Dennis with Watford to name a few in recent years.
He does have youth on his side and I think his style would suit our fanbase but I wouldn't be too disappointed if we don't get him.
My guess is would cost more than £30m. Scored a quality few goals that made me think there is a bit about him too. Recon someone higher up the table will take a chance. Or spurs!
The American at Norwich looks like a Moyes player to me. Hardworking, Got a few goals, big lad. Like the look of Sainz too.

Wouldnt some of the point in dealing with Roma to hopefully get preferable deals because of the ownership?

You are blinkered.

Whats the difference between his first full time contract and second.

My memory was when he came back, he played out of his skin in six months on his second loan, got a permement move back then regressed once he had his contract in the bag.

Let’s not forget he couldn’t get out of the club fast enough either to Spurs in the first place - he won’t get any “legend status” or even much esteem from me. He cashed in those chips from me when he took Levy’s greased 50s.

A recruitment structure has to be in place when it's needed. This summer it seems like everything will be done ad-hoc.

I just don't get how Moyes can have devoted anytime to thinking about this and then turn to a support team that either isnt there or just in or out the door.

He was on his jollies for a good 5 months before he got the gig here mate, was talking to a WHU fan today, apparently he was out of work a bit before he took them over and spent the time traveling and scouting - they then signed Bowen, Soucek, Coufal shortly afterwards.

Always felt whatever new structure was being in place, Moyes would exert maximum control on recruitment - he’s old school, despite what he may say publicly. I haven’t seen anything since to change my mind, the Purdy stuff just confirms it to my mind.

You are missing the link up play between him and Baines........look at the stats again.

Your filter says all seasons.

I said I wouldn’t have brought him back, I don’t see the connection, also asked what the difference was between permanent 1 and permanent 2….

As I said My memory was when he came back, he played out of his skin for six months on his second loan, got a permement move back then regressed once he had his contract in the bag.

Let's agree to differ mate.

Im really confused what you are saying here?

Are you suggesting that Moyes hasnt been able to find time in the last 3months to plan the upcoming transfer window?
