Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Rumours coming out from the Leicester forums saying we want to sign their Danish lb as competition for Myko.
0 goals and 1 assist all season from that Leicester player.
Him and Mykolenko competing with eachother next season

I don't get this obsession with pace. Walcott had tons of pace, would people be happy with someone like that?

I rather we sign players with good technique and footballing brain. Those abilities are far more useful than the ability to run really fast on a straight line. Yes, I'd like the players to be faster than McNeil, but I don't want headless chickens just because they are rapid.
Wow. Pace is fundamental in the premier league. We can’t stretch teams, break lines effectively, or counter attack as well as we should because we have no pace.
No one wants headless chickens… but pace and character should be the priority at the minute.

There is pace and then there is pace. People here are calling Tom Fellows slow when he is quick enough.
There is a premier league player I know who is constantly told he is slowing down the the team he is playing for. he holds the 100metre record for a school that is over 50 years old. Pace in the premier league is unreal… most slow players would be considered fast in lower divisions. For me that is the number one difference between the championship and premier league.
Look at strikers that tear it up in championship but then struggle with the premier league… centre backs are usually as a fast as the forwards.

Plenty of players have moved up from Championship and are fine. Eze, Bowen to name two.

Yeh, it depends if they can actually travel with the ball. Elanga can clearly do so but jags, who was rapid, just didn’t seem to have the ability to carry the ball up the pitch for instance. Obviously less inclined to do so as a cb but I cannot recall him ever do it
