Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Rashford wasn’t in the England squad. Utd have gambled 100mil on 2 young strikers and it’s gone tits up, I’m not sure they will take a punt on another young striker, Chelsea have a striker, delap wiii have to hit the ground running at Chelsea or he will be on the bench. There’s a lot of ifs and buts at the minute, regarding Delap. We will just have to see what happens, but I will be surprised if Chelsea go for him as a first choice striker and Utd will have to sell a couple of strikers first I’d imagine.

And Branthwaite has won a cap as an Everton player and will win more
I thought the same about United myself. Having seen the way things have gone for Hojlund and Zirkzee I would have thought they would want their next striker to have a little bit more of a track record behind them.

Im just looking at attacking players with decent output.

As for Delap, I dont think United or anybody can pass him up at 30m, but you only have to look at the boy Ferguson to see the risks.

How much did United pay for that Rasmus fella? Wasnt it about 70m?

Actually, now you mentioned the price, that would fit Bargain Bob Ratcliffe and the way he is penny pinching at Utd.

But how will Moyes know to buy these players if people dont mention them on every page?

Can’t wait for the time in the summer when Everton are linked with a player no one has ever mentioned on here. Then Barcelona or Bayern buy him and Moyes gets called Dithering Dave by the professional football scouts of GOT who confidently advise ‘we should have got him last summer when I saw him playing’

What is disappointing this summer is there’s no Zaha, Grealish, Leon Bailey, or Ivan Toney candidate yet.

You know the player that the collective forum develops an obsession with and suddenly thinks it’s reasonable for Everton to pay 70 mill for them even though there’s absolutely zero chance of them ever joining.

Maybe Delap might step into that role.

I’m sure I remember someone on here saying we should pay mega money for Tariq Lamptey from Brighton. Could probably get him for free now.

I would like to see us doing some brilliant business without getting rode with the price.

Looking forward to a bit of:

“We need to sign players from obscure leagues before they burst onto the scene”.

Followed by:

“Don’t like his stats, has it all to prove here coming from a farmers league”.

You don’t know that, you don’t know his
Mind. Maybe he will want to play every week and try to get in the England squad in a World Cup year . It may not all be about money to him

100% and he intimated that he wanted to start games in his recent interviews which was why he joined ipswich.

….my word, I thought he was a player. Imagine being on the end of crosses he could put into a penalty area.

Youve never once had a correct opinion on a single player.

Not. Even. Once.

Moyes will have this. He’ll know already whether he wants Delap Fellows Doak or whoever. I wouldn’t be surprised if names come out of nowhere for the players we actually end up with.

Moyes has to stay as far away from transfers as possible.
