Not at the races against Arsenal but you can see a player in him. Still think he will be important player for us given a little time

Yeah definitely looks that way. Could take it either hes trying to get players on the pitch or that hes trying to make them look bad out of position.

That was because Dyche tried to play attacking footy which he couldn't get away with. He then switched the style shortly after we blew the Bournemouth game. It definitely was not all on Tim. Branners was injured, Keane was starting each game. Young and Myko were so bad to start that Dyche brought in Doucs strictly to cover the fullbacks. We were a complete mess.

In fairness I doubt he is trying to make Tim look bad. I just think he is being stubborn with Doucore being a senior player on a big contract. Too many of our past managers are guilty of this. It does remind me of what Dyche would do with players though which is why I mentioned it. It was an odd time to throw Tim into a defensive role against a very good Arsenal side.

He was ok at best in them, compared to the rest who were woeful.

That is fine. He definitely impressed at times, but yeah. He has work to do in certain areas. Like O'Brien at RB, he should be utilized outside of that midfield partnership until he gets up to speed. Most of the good I've seen from him is on the offensive side. Doucore should not be ahead of a few players atm. That is the main issue.

Moyes was guilty of this! What did it take for him to finally bench Neville? The dreadful game against Wigan when he was clearly past it for half a season. It took forever for him to sit Cahill when he was clearly past it. He was loyal to a fault.

We are safe, start playing players in their proper positions to see how they cope with the premier league (Charley as a 10, Tim and Garner together, for example). Doucoure I can see as a disruptor vs top teams away. But should not be starting against anyone in the bottom half at home in my opinion.

Every manager has a fatal flaw. Some get away with it and some don't and some have the talent in the squad to compensate for it. It's small things like Carlo freezing out Gordon and killing his confidence. What happened once the injuries hit? We had absolutely nobody to step in and keep the ship steady. Moyes has proven to me he is a solid manager. We have never actually seen him with top talent (albeit he coached a very good Everton squad towards the latter half of his first reign). Opting for players like Doucore does not inspire confidence. We need to try and build a brand of footy that can win games. DoUCS will not be here next year. He doesn't really give us a brand of football that is sustainable long term. I would hope this type of thing doesn't leak in to our squad next year.

I might be wrong but I don’t recall ever hearing that he was a number 10 or anything like it when we signed him. I’m pretty sure he’s been widely regarded as a defensive or box to box type up until now.

I thought he started off brilliantly then got that injury. Certainly a player in there.

I agree

, it was not an implicit criticism of Moyes, he’s done amazingly well and I hope we dont end up making the mistake of keeping Doucoure too long. It was more in response to I think a comment that mentioned Dyche. Most managers will play favorites and hold players too long vs get rid of early. Especially when they have been integral to their success. The exception I think was Ferguson who had so much clout and power he could weather selling someone early if he felt it made the team better.

I think a season on loan in the Championship where he plays every week could be the making of him.
Next season we will have Gueye, Garner, Harrison and probably one or two more coming in during the summer.
I think Iroegbunam needs to play every week and I don't think that will happen with us.

Think he spent time in the Championship on loan already mate.

If Harrison is here next season I’d be surprised

How many loans can be made to a championship club?

For example we loaned Harrison to Derby and Eustace seems to have done a great job with him.

If they stay up can we loan 2 or 3 there or are we limited to only 1 player?
