“Good question, I think I’d have to go with Bhuna”…

I mean come on. Again this has been covered. We know why. Look at the goals per game stats. When he left we'd played 19 games. Scored 15. Thats atrocious. Isnt that one of the worst in Europe aswell? Against Arsenal Ndiaye basically played as a right back against Saka.
Anything attacking wise was sacrificed because he never knew how to break any teams down. He wasnt some tactical defensive genius. He just knew how to camp in on the edge of his own box.

I think you are proving my earlier point mate -i already said this morning he lost some of the fanbase through pragmatic risk adverse football (and also the home Bournemouth result)- your post is essentially it - fair play ;), that said it was one of the best records defensive records in Europe over the period of results/time. Both things seem to be true. Objectively and perhaps arguably the run of results leading up to his departure weren't that bad - so there was a bit of entropy at play, like you say, style of football, Bournemouth, early season form, last season at Goodison, relegation fatigue etc. We're essentially making the same points.

It was that lack of homeostasis really, balance. Moyes has brought a bit of that.

Very pleased SD has gone....

Equally pleased at what a great job DM is currently doing....

Hate is such a strong word to be used about a human being, for me, and I'm sure many others the hate applies to the negative football he was responsible for serving up. I did actually doubt that our team were capable of playing football worthy of our hard earned £££, but sure enough DM has shown in a few short weeks what is possible. Now, I know it's early days yet, but it's wonderful to watch our team actually trying to score goals from open play. I'm looking forward to watching us play again now, the dread has vanished and my mental health is much better for it.

I know many disagree, but I think SD did a great job keeping us in the premier league, given all the circumstances, for me he should have been sacked after the Bournemouth game though.

Very happy to be climbing the table with DM

💙

I saw the club tweet that out and it was a specific cherry picked time frame. It looked ok as a tweet. I think at the time we'd hardly scored or had a shot aswell lol. I took it with what it merited. A pinch of salt.
Have you ever watched Everton in the last few years and said to yourself we've one of the best defences in Europe? No? Me neither.
Lets not even kid ourselves let alone those poor Europeans. 😉

Europe's a big place mate!

If I'm honest i do watch us and often think we've one of the best defensive units in the league and that's a pretty good barometer of Europe given the caliber of the league.

Our highest quality players are all defenders.

Because people want to discuss a manager who left last month.

Evidently, given the replies.

It will auto close - like every former manager thread, and every former player thread, every match thread - when people stop replying and it's deemed no longer relevant.

Yet again - warnings, and eventual bans will occur for people who cry arse over a thread they don't have to click in, or post in if they don't want to.
Omg it’s never going to close

It was a cringe worthy embarrassing tweet from the club 🤣
