Everton have confirmed they have taken my sage advice to terrify Leicester with a certain much maligned centre back playing up front. Two goals, one shot and one header then backs to the wall for the last 20 minutes.

Tbf if it’s the last minute, and the ball comes to a player 10 yards out from goal:

One hits a tame shot straight at the keeper, one lashes it into the stand off his shin, and one slots it calmly into the corner.

And we all know which is which.

Well our star striker did need until his 22nd game of the season to surpass Michael "van basten" Keane's whopping 2 goals, so it's hard to choooose.........

I remember the night well. He was on my side of the pitch and so I went up against him a lot. I was twisting and turning looking to get crosses in - and he was struggling to keep up that much that by the end of the night he had his shorts on the wrong way round.

It was 'pre pre-season' like, so he'd probably been on the ale and eat too many pies.

Anyway, I couldn't help think at that point I should have played for Everton rather than him.
