Other than @JobForTheMoyes, is anyone remotely enthused by this? He won't be here for 6 months he'll be here a minimum of 18 months and will take us into the new stadium with a "plucky little Everton" attitude. It's like leaving your house because of all of the black mould but then deliberately taking the fungal spores with you into the new gaff. A real retrograde step, in my opinion.

I’m enthused by the sight of Dychette tears, that’s all.

And also about staying in the Premier League this season.

Needs must sadly.

We are in freefall and cant afford any risk.

Records at the big 6 since he left:

United: 1-4-8
Chelsea: 0-4-8
Arsenal: 1*-2-10
Liverpool: 1*-2-10
City: 0-5-8
Spurs: 1*- 2- 9

* denotes the game was played behind closed doors.

So our 1 win true away win in the entire time he's been gone came against himself. God we've been spoilt.
And clearly you aspire to nothing better.
Kenwright and Moyes created an acceptance of failure and it is now deep in our DNA.
The essence of your argument above is that everyone since Moyes has been rubbish so it’s alright to continue being rubbish 🤣

I wouldn’t bet against him setting us up nicely for the manager after him again.. hopefully anyway
That was after 11 years not 18months no way this squad gets turned round without a lot of players coming and going. But then do you want Moyes type players for him to then leave makes no sense to. As much as I don’t want him back it probably is or seems to be the safest appointment, but seriously lacks imagination or the start of anything great. Thought moshiri out new owners and a whole new look at boardroom Dyche out and then we bring good old David back. Will closely watch the next 5 or so games see how they go but no doubt it will be poor Harrison, lindstrom Doucoure Mykolenko what’s he going to do with any of them 😂 and then let’s see if DCL starts turning up or if we have a stronger bench, the manager was just a part of the problem.

He still outperformed Dychey in a season where he got sacked and Dychey performed the miracle of his career???

Well, Dyche has gone now but West Ham who spent hundreds of millions, with a squad significantly better than ours with players like Bowen, Kudus - earned 4 more points than us last season.

You also look at Moyes record in 19 and 20 games when he tookover a struggling team in West Ham in winter, and it doesn't look good.

If it’s Moyes he will be motivated like never before. It’s undoubtedly the club he has greatest affinity with (gets ready for ‘but he ran out on us!’ shouts).. he’ll get a tune out of players and develop some patterns and relationships. It’s not great BUT we were literally dying under Dyche and his pathetic football.
Davek crying about our record against Liverpool is least of my concerns, I’d take beating the likes of Southampton and Leicester over the odd 0-0 against City, Arsenal etc all day long.
We are transitioning as a club in every way possible. Having someone who knows the club alongside owners who don’t may not be the worst thing for the here and now..

Not ethused at all just well clear of the situation even if is 18 months, still can make changes in that time and need to get bwck to buying younger players ready to push this club on. Get the psr stuff sorted get us back mid table then look onto the next manager then to hopefully have a better base work from.

We’ve tried 8 different managers since that have been rubbish. You think the 9th was definitely going to turn it alll around though..
