So I ask you why did you post that original message? Why do you think non-trans LGBTQ+ community are keeping quiet? Quiet on here or everywhere?

What do you think is achieved by others attacking the haters? Our community is a peaceful one that encourages love for everyone and acceptance for everyone.

My first gay love was Muslim. He is still isn't out to this day. He can't voice his opinions. He can't go to rallies. He can't find true love.

To state the silent are doing wrong is a hurtful and really blinded view on many people in our community.

I'm one of the lucky ones. I found my love. And I'm accepted by my family.

And I'll happily be the first person in this forum to say I've been in a relationship with a trans women and sex multiple times. Why they went to work they had to go as there male self as that was the only way they could get employment in that sector. They would come home and become the women I knew.

So I ask for you to actually drop your previous comments about my community and how we should fight for eachother that's not your decision.

If you had just the one post and the other poster was all over the thread with their, to put it mildly, unpopular views….why would you think the comments here were aimed at you? I took it as clearly aimed mainly if not exclusively at that other poster and the problem in general

If it was obvious nobody would ask. It appears from your response to those two comments in particular that you believe they were directed at YOU in particular

I don't believe I've intentionally attacked you, apart from a few Rowling acolytes my experience of the LGBTQ community has almost universally been one of ally-ship.

I absolutely believe had another marginalised group been attacked in the same manner then the thread would have been treated differently, that's not an attack on the forum which has a track record of balancing discussion while preventing hate speak, but a reflection on society, the gay community was the acceptable target in the 80s and suffered nearly the exact same attack techniques, the black and Hispanic communities before them etc etc. Hopefully society again moves past such hatred and it is the hateful who are moved to the margins.

As for listening to you in the thread, I'm not a mod and have no power here, I reported one post as I felt it was worthy under forum guidelines then backed out the thread so as not to spam or provoke someone who seemed to have a level of personal trauma attached. When the thread was moved to CA I just left it alone.

I genuinely think you've misread my intentions or I have communicated them poorly in an emotional state.

Which is fair enough. Folk don't really enjoy being spoken for.

However, it does feel a bit unfair to basically tell folk in here they can't discuss current political discourse. The Tories have been making this particular matter an issue for whatever reason. So yes, frustrating it may be to be a point of discussion, but it is frankly a 'current affair' topic.
