Good morning all. My son's surgery has been cancelled. His biopsy came back and the cancer has spread to his lymph nodes. So he now has an appointment on Thursday to discuss a different surgery whereby they do the foot operation and also remove his lymph nodes. Hopefully when he has the meeting on Thursday he will get a date for that operation. I've told him that he is on a different path to recovery to the previous one but it will be OK in the end. Still very worrying though.
Anyway to change the subject all I know about electric cars is that they are rubbish in cold weather. I've heard stories of only getting 30 miles on one charge. As you know Mr F and I love going to Scotland. I've wondered on our last couple of trips that if we were up in the Highlands in an electric car how would we charge it without having to drive miles to find a charging point.

So sorry to hear this Anj. The next few weeks are going to be hard for you all, but through it you need to maintain the positivity you have shown so far. Your son is in the best hands to deal with this.

Anyway, to steer (haha) away from the topic of electric cars - I'm getting married next Friday! We're doing a signing and gathering with friends only, a proper church wedding with all the bells and whistles is in the plan for next year on the same date as it's more difficult to organise due to parents, etc.

Morning all. Shopping day, I am as excited as a kid at christmas lol I didn't get any last month and the month has dragged. I did however get my freezer defrosted and I pretty much had exactly the right amount of food left in it so I didn't need to waste much. I managed to get everything left into the ice box in the fridge while it defrosted. bonus.

I had therapy yesterday and it's the first time she seen me actually in a good mood, I don't have many of those days. I mentioned I had been listening to a lot more trance and EDM music and that it was giving me an itch to start DJing again. So she said I should go for it because it has been a long time since I had those feelings about doing anything.

I have looked at software called DJ Studio and you get a 14 day free trial. I will need to do more research first as i don't want to waste the free trial and I don't want it to be one of those "good idea at the time" scenarios.

So sorry for your son anj, can't imagine what he's going through and to have an op cancelled must be hard.

I have just had a message off my sister and after my dad's latest fall which ended him in hospital, has finally been accepted into 24hr care. I am not fond of my father but what he was living like was cruel, so this is a weight off everyone's' shoulders. they won't have to find him sat in his own faeces anymore and confused to buggery.

Is @Barnfred 55 ok or is he off galivanting again?

Pleased to relate that at last G is on the Liverpool train!

Got on at Leeds and the train was absolutely chocker, with no available seats and tens of hens dos en route to Merseyside.

Happily a hen very kindly gave up her seat and there is no truth whatsoever in the rumour that MrG is no where to be found lol .

I hope they survive. I've caught the hen party train from Manchester before now. Good job she doesn't drink
