Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Happy Easter, Joyeux Pacques and whatever that is in Finnish.

Today has started brightly, not unlike ATs wonderful photo but it's forecast to go downhill weather wise from lunchtime.

Ah well me and Mrs J will take ourselves off to the local hostelry to get out of the rain and enjoy a yard of ale ( well maybe a pint of Guinness and a half of lager lol) before sharing a pizza with Barbie.

I desperately hope that Anj gets some good news about her son.

Well that's about it from me , no other news except I'm just about to finish a brilliant historical novel by Robert Harris called Act of Oblivion. It's based on the true story of the manhunt in New England of 2 of the Puritans involved in the death of Charles I. Although I like history I've never really been into historical drama but the pace and depth of knowledge and historical facts with which this is written make it a great read.

Anyway have a lovely Easter weekend everyone.

You are really going to watch Barbie?

Good morning all. It looks like a very bright day today. We're setting off for Nottingham at dinner time. I need to see daughter before we go - she's a residential child care worker and has been at work for the last two days. She's back in again on Sunday so if we don't see her this morning it will be Monday before our paths cross. I need to ask her important stuff like what type of Easter egg ( yes I still buy them one - even at 26 and 30🤣) and does she want a roast dinner on Monday!
Son rang last night - he's booked an escape room tomorrow afternoon for us to do and also booked us into a teppenyaki restaurant. I have never experienced either and had to Google teppenyaki. I'm fully on best behaviour for meeting the inlaws, no leftie comments or political opinions. 🤣 We could talk footie but Newcastle play West Ham ( their team) on Saturday so that might be one to avoid as well.
Good Ftoday so the ingrained Catholic in me will not be eating meat. I still have an irrational fear of being struck by lightning should I transgress that rule.
Have a lovely day x

10.15 start at the Ship & Mitre beer festival in Port Sunlight today, it opens at 10.00 but that’s too early for my bus pass.
Have fun. I'm going to a 60th birthday party in New Brighton in June. I've booked us a stay in The Bridge in Port Sunlight. I've never shown Mr F Port Sunlight and I also have very happy memories of being drunk in The Bridge with my workmates when I worked for Unilever Research.
