Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Dennis Law statue is at the back of costa opposite marschial college, which in itself is magnificent.
Union Square upstairs for food.
Todders is down by the beech which has some decent old school cafes.
Decent walk along the front if it's a nice day.
Lovely part of the city is down by the universities, cobbled streets, even Seaton Park can be nice.
Thanks, I’m going to the match so I’ll potter around the centre and the beach beforehand.

I retired last November and I don't do anything like the amount of work that you do J. I'm tired after reading that. :D
I like to keep busy BP.

Played my 2nd game of table tennis last night and
won all my matches this week.

I even beat an ex England international last night.

Yep delighted with that win........mind you he is 86!

Don't let that fool you, he's still a formidable player and it was only when he got to about 80 that I could get near him.

Relaxing days today , yeah just finish off the spring cleaning, pop to the gym and if it stays dry a couple of hours of gardening.

I had a great meeting with @Barnfred 55 last week and he remarked that I don't relax. It's not true , I love reading and listening to music but like to stay active too. Must admit if I'm listening to music I will do a couple of sudokus.

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

Must admit I felt the same after reading @jazzy ’s original post 🙂. I’m comparatively ( for my age) very active on my running days , but to misquote “ The oldest swinger in town “ it now “ takes all morning to do what I used to do all morning “ ! I limit myself to 2-3 hours at a time for any significant activity like gardening or painting, otherwise my body suffers. Everybody is different and as long as we’re all enjoying our own particular version of retirement that’s great - Vivre le difference !

I relax. You sit down for an hour occasionally 😀😀

Is the prevalence of underfloor heating over there the reason why fitted carpets aren’t really a thing?

Isn’t it mad the things that run through your head during the week! lol
Yes and no ,in new builds -the last 20 years -underfloor heating has come to the fore because of the energy savings but Finns as other Nordic peoples prefer to have rugs and solid pine floors due to the amount of trees .Finland is 75% covered in forest so it would be a shame to not use it .
We also put the rugs/ carpets out in the coldest weather to kill any bugs as we do our washing ,the very low temperatures freeze the water and the wind shatters the ice so it will then drop off .
About the head ,I don't have that problem as anything rattling around soon comes out of my ears .
