Good morning all on this muggy day here in Finland .I hope all are well after a good kip and have a fine day today .
We were left a carpet washer by the previous owners so that is getting a bashing today to clean the shower area it is very effective ,strangely they warn that it is not good to wash some carpets ! those with a hessian back! I might have mentioned but fitted carpets are not a thing here it is almost always rugs and loose carpets ,we had a loom for making rag ones at the last house but weirdly I never gave it a try ,one of few things I just never had the inclination .
I do need to do something and as we are up to the rafters in quilts ,my painting is useless ,I have built enough bluetooth speakers for the army so it seems I have to open the boundaries .
We are going to grow veg again this year after a two year hiatus ,we had a 400 sq.m greenhouse of which we used about 250sq.m at the last house and I had had enough but now we miss the year around garlic and tomatoes .We will not be able to achieve anything like that much but some will be nice .COYB
It was - didn’t last long. lolLooks lovely……
Enjoy your eye test on the drive to Barnard Castle when you collect your wrap lol .Good morning all. Love the pics @Gwladysover. The banana bread is amazing. Pleased you got home safely @Barnfred 55 .
Does anybody else feel like they are waiting for exam results with this appeal verdict? It's crazy how Everton affects you.
I'm a lady who lunches today. Meeting my old boss in Barnard Castle. I don't know if I've told you but she has a herd of alpacas and spins her own wool from their fleeces. She is currently making me a wrap from Dreamy's fleece! How clever is that?
Have a fun day all x
Hope you get well soon AnjHi Folks, it's been quite a day! Since we got back from Ascot my foot has been swollen and very painful. I've no idea what I've done but occasionally after the gym I get a really sharp pain across the arch of my foot, it usually goes away by the next day. Also because of working from home, I hardly ever wear shoes - it's either trainers, socks or slippers. While we were away I wore actual shoes, we did a lot of walking and on Monday morning my foot was swollen, hot, red and very painful. I couldn't get a GP appointment until this morning - by this time it was much less painful and also less red. The GP said I was walking on the outside of my foot, she was concerned about the redness and I could have cellulitis, bursitis, arthritis, gout or a stress fracture! So, I'm on antibiotics, have to take anti-inflammatories, have to have an X ray and get blood taken. Good grief. Also no gym for two weeks.
On the positive side, lunch was awesome - really good catch up with my friend. We tried a new place - can recommend the Three Horseshoes if you are in the area lol
EnjoySteeling myself to go out into a cold , dark windy night. Highland League fitba calls. Although it’s a Buckie “ home” game, our pitch has been unplayable since November due to excess water/ poor drainage , so it's a 30 min trip up the coast to Lossiemouth who are kindly loaning their ground for some home games. It’s still better than watching CL on tv, I don’t think I’ve watched one CL game this season. Wrap up warm, a pie and a cup of tea and I’ll be fine![]()
Ouch, hope you get better soon. Glad you you had good lunch, any news on Mr F’s job?Hi Folks, it's been quite a day! Since we got back from Ascot my foot has been swollen and very painful. Aww thanks. He rang the woman at the Agency today who was organising it and sge said the job had been 'rescinded' so the employer have changed their mind or have found somebody on their own. He's a bit disappointed. These job agencies are a pain, you have to jump through so many hoops for them and quite often there isn't a positive outcome - or any outcome!Ouch, hope you get better soon. Glad you you had good lunch, any news on Mr F’s job?
