6 + 2 Point Deductions

Luton Town chief executive Gary Sweet:

"We had a 30-point deduction in one season, we had a point deduction from the FA that they have never awarded to anyone else. I think I should be sitting here saying I don't really care about anyone else, as there wasn't an awful lot of sympathy for us back then. First of all, if you break the rules then you deserve a punishment"
Evidence your honours

The combined 30-point deduction is the biggest in Football League history, giving Luton an extraordinarily difficult task in trying to avoid relegation for the third season in a row. Bookmakers have already made them 10-1 on favourites to drop down to the Blue Square Premier.

But the club is appealing against the FA's 10-point deduction for financial irregularities in regard to its dealings with agents, with the case set to be heard next week.

The 20-point additional penalty related to the club's inability to agree a Company Voluntary Agreement (CVA) to exit administration, with the Football League pointing out that this is the third time in 10 years that Luton have been in such a position.

Quite.

I was reasonably confident we would get some or maybe all points back. However, given Masters attitude and recent response to Parliament I don’t think we will get anything back now. Just have to save ourselves on the pitch unless we receive further insurmountable points deductions for the second offence which is really the first offence in disguise.

There is a swagger about this response that says not only are we going to fail the appeal but we will also get a further sanction this season along with Forest. Either that or he's just acting the big dickie
because he has probably told them that regardless of mitigating circumstances and building a super stadium for the City of Liverpool and helping the community, we have gone over the PSR so therefore PUNISH them to the max to send a message out. He is one eyed and fighting tooth and nail to save his job. The kangaroo court will probably oblige because it is not a court of law

Same. They are doubling down and clinging onto their place on the gravy train whatever it takes.

Never been confident they are just judging themselves
